It certainly seems as though we have assembled a squad capable of amassing enough points to still be in the PL next season. OK, Roberts and Fahrman are only on a season long loan, but Thompson should be fit at some point during the season.
Morris, Idah and Sir Benny going on loan is brilliant IMO and it should give them game time against decent opposition.
I'm also looking forward to seeing our Under 23s in action and I'm planning on going to Colney on the 30th.

 

Getting Amadou would be a real coup; brilliant, brilliant work on the part of SW, DF and our recruitment guys. I had to keep pinching myself when we signed Leitner; if Amadou signs it'll be the same. He's seriously good, similar to Leicester's replacement for Kante, Nampalys Mendy, who himself has been likened to Claude Makelele. Clearly France produces quality DMs.

Its only because he is at Chelsea and they could afford that. He is a PL winner tbf.

 

Drinkwater is 29 and doesn't look like a SW signing to me, whereas Amadou does. If we sign him and Rhodes I'll really get excited about this season!

Yes, I heard that as well, but haven't seen it confirmed anywhere. The approaches for Idah and Srbeny make me think it could be true.

He's only 29. I would think someone, somewhere would want him for 1 or 2 mil even at £38.5k p.w. It could be that he's refusing any other loans/transfers. (shrugs shoulders)

Edit: Looking into it, comparing Claude-Maurice to Dozzell is probably about as fair as comparing Emi Buendia to Luke Chadwick. He looks seriously next level, with Arsenal and West Ham apparently interested earlier in the window. Audacious move to say the least.

 

He was linked with us earlier in the window. Reportedy, he had his mind set on Monchengladbach.

 

Taking my cue from the thread title, I'd say this Claude-Maurice rumour meets all the criteria for "Tosh"
