Yep, according to them Poch has called him and asked him to come. He did of course play under Pochettino at Espanyol.
It makes sense. If we can sell Eriksen to Manure for say 60 M and lay out 25M for a year for Couthinho, we make 35M. If Erisen leaves next summer for zero, we lose 60M. The 35M could go towards Fernandes/Lo Celso, and give them a year to settle in. Good business.
Yep! I’m keeping the faith. Triple announcement with AJ Tracey dropping a new track in our third kit.
It's reached a point of sheer desperation. The bids for Lo Celso and Fernandes have seemingly failed, permanently. The growing likelihood is that the club is desperate to sell Eriksen now - to anyone - rather than lose him on a free next year. Signing Coutinho on a loan is the only way to stave off a mutiny and also the only way to afford his wages. I reiterate: If Eriksen goes to United and we "replace" him by signing Coutinho on loan, my promise to support Arsenal still stands, and I will do so for the first month of the season. @PISKIE himself can be my witness this time.
It's sad. It is so so sad. That we have reached a point where the best manager I have seen in my lifetime has to go, cap in hand, calling in favours for former players to join us. Lordy I am building up a head of steam. Might chain myself to a railing until 5pm Thurs.
I understand mate, and I think this could cost us our manager the way things are going. Levy is busy nickel and dimeing Betis and Sporting and seemingly only succeeding in pissing em off.
For my own sanity, I stayed away from discussing this transfer window until the last 48 hours. I should have stuck it out until Friday in hindsight.
Oh and by the way Coutinho just landed in Miami for Barca's pre season. So just getting him over here would take the best part of a day. Clusterfuck FC.
Coutinho is a good player but £25m for a loan fee can **** riiiiiiiight off unless it’s coming out of the fee for a first option to buy at the end of the loan. Surely can’t see that happening otherwise, especially if we lose Eriksen
