Smith is just dull and never offers anything interesting just really obvious comments. I think he tries not to be bias, especially since Arsenal have been rubbish, but you can really tell it pains him to say anything bad about Arse or give credit (or balanced opinion) to teams playing against Arse.

Arsenal selling their best defend is hilarious.

Forward line will have to do a hell of alot of work to out score opponents

Not sure he still is but anyway what choice did they have. Mind you they do seem to be taking Brendans 13/14 tactics to an extreme level . Have to say think they should be fun to watch as a neutral.<laugh>

    Champions League Awards
Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson and Sadio Mane have all been nominated for the Champions League’s 2019 positional awards.

I’ve got a feeling the Reds will have a few winners.

Could they complete a clean sweep from goalkeeper to striker?

    I wouldn’t bet against it!

He was expected to leave anyway. Obviously won't be going anywhere for a while now

Yes, but he's already been making noise to leave this summer to Bayern. And apparently the contract negotiations with Citeh weren't going well, can't imagine Citeh will be offering a deal anywhere near as good as they were last week.
He's going to be sitting on the sidelines for most of the season, might as well wait and see whats on offer come June.

Of course but why would he? He's made it clear he wants to leave and because he's going to be out of contract he's due a big (greedy) pay day

The way they've been talking about it this summer I thought it only went another year. Anyway that just means he can push even harder next summer in the knowledge they'll be over a barrel, losing him on a free or having to sell or keeping an unhappy disruptive player.

Can't see any contract negotiations while he's injured, depends on how he recovers. City might be glad to get rid if they don't think he's as good as before.
