Twitter's having a nervous breakdown right now: this bloke claims that the Gazzetta dello Sport have also reported we've reached a deal for Lo Celso ...however, there appears to be no such article, so either a.) This guy's got a scoop and blabbed before the GdS could write their article b.) The guy's making **** up, which Eurosport and Canal+ would likely not appreciate c.) He has the goods, but he doesn't have a sexy-enough source to go with it so he named dropped the GdS The good news, however, is the story in Record that I posted a short while ago makes no mention of this bloke or the GdS, so now let's consult the Tier list to see how high we can set our hopes... please log in to view this image ...don't suppose L'Equipe have reported about the sell-on fee yet?
Cat: So what is it? Kryten: I've not seen one before - no-one has - but I believe it is an agreed fee for Lo Celso. Rimmer: Lo Celso? Lister: So that thing is.... an agreed fee for Lo Celso? Kryten: Precisely. That's why we are experiencing these curious time phenomena in this board. Cat: So what is it?
So we've gone from "fee agreed" to Levy has managed to piss off yet another club chairman! Are there any clubs left who will actually deal with him anymore? I think that's half the problem. Levy's negotiating tactics have rubbed so many people up the wrong way he's gotten a reputation, so signing anyone of any real quality has practically become an impossibility.
Who knows whether the reports last night of a fee being agreed were even true, though? It’s probably just random journo’s timing their story because they think it will happen, and with a few days left it’s a good time to report an educated guess to “break the story” first. None of us know what’s going on or how far down the road these transfers are. However, as I said yesterday, what concerns me is that there isn’t any momentum with any of our targets. No one of note is saying “a deal is expected”, like we tend to see at this point. 3 days, 8 hours. Lots to do and another day has passed.
