Today I think I saw a team that will surely contend for promotion and one that will struggle to compete. I thought City were as poor as I have seen them and I certainly couldn't see any sign of improvement over last season. Poor old Diedhiou ran his usual solo furrow and although he had some deft touches there was nobody anywhere close to capitalize.

Leeds looked composed, and at times tore us apart, and always looked like the final winners and went home with a well earned 3 points. City, on the other hand, must accept to a man that they were poor and if indeed they want be pretenders performances like this are not what is required. O.K. so it's the first game of the season but we have also lost our last 2 at home 1-8 and unless we improve and add a real goal scorer some time soon I can really see us ending up mid-table.

    Truly woeful

My cat knows how Leeds always play and yet Johnson still doesn't, and cant set the team up mentally or physically to deal with it ?

It's not just losing that worries me it's the way we were 2nd best to every ball and in every position all over the park today. It made Leeds look like title certainties and they're not. They just wanted it more than us for the whole game.

I was so looking forward to the game on my subscribed DAZN and the disappointment I felt at the loss, but more in the way we failed at every level across the pitch, makes me wonder how Lee is going to handle this one. The positives were hard to find and the ease that Leeds basically ripped us apart must surely send out some warning signals. The task doesn't get any easier at Birmingham next week and unless we really get things sorted out then I fear another loss on the cards. It will prove interesting when the other reports from our posters land on this deck.

Horrible team selection and tactics from LJ today, yeah Leeds were class but we were shocking, what annoyed me most is why he started with O'Dowda who clearly doesn't wanna be here no more and leave Elliason on the bloody bench and continuing to play 1 upfront, no surprise we looked better when he and Taylor came on, Taylor Moore played well though despite being caught out for their 2nd and 3rd goal

Well what I saw was a team devoid of any rhythm ,we bypassed the midfield pumping long balls up to Famara i'm sorry could not hold the ball up if he tried, played one up front which played right into the oppositions hands, played O'Dowda when we should have played Eliasson, in my opinion we should play Taylor and Weimann up front and play football from the back and through mid-field, just my opinion.

Today was very disappointing against a Leeds side beset with injury problems.
Nevertheless City set up and played like an away side.
It was only when the game was gone that City seemed to wake up.

    It was poor all round.
    Bentley looked nervous.
    Pack was negative and slow.
    Agree with O'Dowda starting....why?
    Brownhill was terrible.
Palmer tries too hard...often the simple pass is the best option.
    I thought Moore did okay.
Leeds were like the home team. Has to be said, Bamford is a lowlife.

O’Dowda played the opposite side to Elliasson. When Elliasson came on it was replacement to Weinman who came inside. Patterson replaced COD who IMO was on to be in the shop window. But I suspect after yesterday’s game will not get many suitors. That one back fired I think.
Diedhiou is an enigma to me. When defending wins nearly all balls in the air, when up front my Grandaughter can beat him in the air.

Leeds showed that a long ball can be effective, they played a lot of them up to Bamford, but the difference was they played flatter, faster long balls into the channels for Bamford to stretch our defence, whereas we lobbed high balls up the middle for Fammy. Of the few he did win in the first half he had nobody anywhere near him, Brownhill, COD and Weinmann were all miles away from him. Fammy has no pace, and if that is our attacking policy for this season then we are in trouble.

I waited until i calmed down.

That was Men against Boys,Class against riff raff.

That Leeds team look slick and composed and will be the team to beat, class.

Us what have they been doing in pre-season a complete and utter shambles from start to finish.

Johnson says he wants five players all i can say is a team rebuild is required.

    Fammy not good enough.

    Pack not good enough.

    Both need replacing now.

I would rather play Taylor and Weimann up front caused more problems in ten minutes than the rest of the game combined.

For me the lumping it too Fammy is not the answer, watch how Leeds played stunning precise and deadly football that is the benchmark.

A WEEK LEFT IN THE WINDOW panic purchases now and let's see what comes in at present we are a very long way of a top six side.

Let's all hope yesterday was a one-off and the four/five new players will make a difference.

Are these five all going to start?

Needing another five is no excuse for how poor BCFC were in and out of possession yesterday weeks of preparation and a jolly to America went into that.

You’re ok, there was no spelling mistakes so it was probably taken from someone else’s statement, copied and pasted.
    You can rest easily now.

I’m afraid this more or less reflects my own opinion on yesterday’s game.

Been a long time since city got completely ripped apart by another championship side.

What with 5-0 thrashing by Palace and now this CONCERNING,we looked a million miles of the pace yesterday.
