I thought taking Byers off changed the game for the better , Celina was ineffective out on the left in the first half with little understanding between him self and Bidwell but the second he came alive through the middle which is his best position. Byers and Fulton aren't the most creative and that's what imo I thought was missing in the first half . Dyer agree was MOM he didn't stop running. creating and at time looked like he was on speed but if I have one criticism about today was Cooper left him on for too long ,. he got caught on the ball and it nearly cost us

    All about opinions<cheers>

Celina was at his best during the first 20 mins of the second half - that’s when he came alive and started to pink up better with Bidwell.

Balance of the team was also at its best during that period.

Taking off Byer changed the dynamic - not just my & my mate’s opinion but those around us were equally vocal and of the same view.

    But it’s all about opinions <laugh> <cheers>

“Steve Cooper has revealed Swansea City are on the brink of signing a new striker.

The Swans sold star man Oli McBurnie to Sheffield United on Friday, leaving them with only Borja Baston and Courtney Baker-Richardson as out-and-out forward options given that the club are keen to offload Andre Ayew.

And speaking after his side’s 2-1 over Hull City, Cooper said the Swans are confident of adding a new frontman to their ranks in the coming days.

When asked if he is hopeful of signing a forward, Cooper responded: “We will do that. We’ll have information over the next 24 or 48 hours. I’m saying 48 hours just to give us a bit more time.

“I look forward to that and it’s been a process we’ve gone through over a number of weeks.

“It was great to see Kristoffer (Peterson) make his debut today as well. He’s going to be a good player for us this year and I’m really pleased that he got to experience the time on the pitch and the stadium getting behind the team. I’m sure he’ll be made up with the response he got when he came on.

“But to answer your question, we’ve been working hard and we’ve been calm. There’ll be no panic signings. It’s about getting the right profile and the right characters in to add to what is a very strong spirited group.”

Verdict......First half was poor but it was the players first game so i dont look into that much....I was worried when they went 1 - 0 up after 3 minutes though. Some of the passing was ok and Dyer took the lead in showing the youngsters what is needed to perform in the championship and was more of a captains performance than Grimes who looked lost. Second half saw two quick goals as hull had a funny 5 minutes when they gave away the chances for our goals which we took and again Dyer provided the chances....After that it was more or less even stevens with chances at both ends.....So to sum up it was good to have the win but Both teams will have better oppositions to play and both must show improvement if they are going to get anywhere near a top half finish.......The experienced player like Dyer today need to play as their experience gave the boost needed. Plenty of work to be done especially coming out of the blocks at the start and not giving early goals away and playing catch up so early in the game. A welcomed home narrow win and i will take those all day long...

For me Celina is wasted/lost out on the wing. He needs to be playing the No 10 role <ok>

A ggod start to the season with 3 points in the bank. We played some good football but Hull were allowed to get away with cynical off the ball fouls by officials who were out of their depth. Our main area of improvement must be the delivery into the box, this has to improve otherwise our strikers will be living off scraps.

At 2-1 Hull looked shattered but we allowed them back into the game and their subs were more effective. We were often guilty of overplaying it out of the back, but held on for a big three points <ok>.

Now that's how to get your opinion across , it s a pity not everyone has the same gift and yes I'm guilty at times of having the same shortcoming

That just shows our lack of quality out wide, Routledge gets injured and we have to put a number 10 out wide as we don't have enough quality out there.

Like I would imagine my first view of of him , he looks decent although some things he tried didn't come off but Bidwell was happy enough to trust with the ball , hard to say really but I can't imagine McKay putting in the same shift as Peterson did albeit for the limited time he was on
