This sums up last season in a nutshell Smug. We only failed to score in two league games iirc, we were looking good after the Checkatrade final then lost Watmore to a horror tackle and McGeady broke his foot, McGuire was out for two months with a broken leg, any team would struggle with that. Add on top we had Wyke sidelined for months by a goalkeeper tackling him outside the box which would have been a red card to an outfield player and Grigg was injured and never really got going. Fans quickly forget these things and only see what's out in front of them on matchday and moan accordingly. I agree we need to use the wings get behind defences and turn them round, this hump ball to the front players whoever is playing has to stop, quick feet and moving the ball quickly is the way to win games and we have the players to accomplish that. so JR on Saturday get the ball on the deck play football and give the fans something to cheer about instead of moaning.....come on 2-0 home win.
You're quiet, defence looked poor and attack looked poor. your judgement is cack MBC, no wonder you get mad, must be frustrating,.
Not quiet at all. Just been on holiday and it’s my wife’s birthday. It’s one game and, unlike you, I’m willing to allow the players a chance.
Ridiculous the amount of people ****ting themselves one game in, I get the concerns and I share most of them to an extent but people are writing us off from Ross to Grigg to Flanagan after one fecking game. It's too long a season to panic so soon.
with all of your criticising lately you sound like our boards equivalent to Frazer in Dad's Army.. so im wondering is it about time to change your avatar to The Little Git as its suits you better. as you would never make General with that defeatist attitude
Guy is a royal pain in the arse. One of the worst we’ve had on here imo. Constant negative sniping, insults and the like then tries an apology to get out of it. Makes Monty look positive
But its not based on one game as you say but six months of decline, under the circumstances, I would not call this panic at all, more accurate observation.
General observations, unfortunately based on what is being served up, you may think they are critical, I don't see many happy other than a few happy clappers on here, lets see how things pan out. Nothings personal , we all have different opinions.
After brooding on the oxford lucky point I have begun to question whether the team is actually fit enough. Willis really really struggled for the last half hour and most of the team just looked off the pace.
There are definitely questions to be asked of our coaching staff, on all fronts, even at this level, they are not up to scratch.
Hi guys, Charlton fan in peace. Just wanted to wish you guys all the best for this season - ir'd be good if you came up automatically this year. I haven't been following your transfer activity (we have problems of our own with our mega rich owner) though we were told you beat us to signing McNulty. Anyway, hope you comd up - the first afternoon always throws up a few unusual results, and there's a lot of football to be played. All the best
