BUCKOS BOY 100/30 Burlington Bertie 5:10 Market Rasen The odds on jolly is C&D winner Rock On Rocky but he found out on his second start just how hard it is to win a bumper with a penalty. He was brushed aside by what could be a decent McManus horse at Southwell but one other beat him for second. He could very likely be bumping into a decent animal again. BUCKOS BOY is a home bred first foal you may remember as she was called BUXOM. She trotted up on her bumper debut and then won again under a penalty. She never really scaled any great heights after that but if her boy has as much ability he can certainly win this very ordinary looking race on debut. He is in good hands and I would expect to see pretty strong support.
Chester course specialists, Dascombe and Kingscote team up in 5 of the 7 races, can see a treble in their, but where?!
An unusual start time for the Prix Maurice de Gheest – 2:47 BST – but it does look a fascinating contest. Seven of the fifteen declared represent the Classic generation and eleven of the field are foreign raiders. Prix Djebel winner Munitions was fourth in the Prix Jean Prat last time and is blinkered for the first time but there appears to be no obvious reason why he will reverse running with the third Fox Champion or the runner-up Space Blues, who surely represents the best chance of victory for a three year old, with William Buick returning to the plate. Frankie gets the leg up on Commonwealth Cup winner Advertise, well beaten second in the July Cup to Ten Sovereigns last time and visored for the first time today. Pretty Pollyanna, So Perfect and Brando were behind at Newmarket and there is nothing to suggest that will change over the extra half furlong. The disappointing Le Brivido returns to France after doing very little to inspire optimism at Royal Ascot when fifth in the Queen Anne (One Master third) and fifth in the Diamond Jubilee (Invincible Army seventh). Since then, One Master has run second in the Falmouth and now drops to this distance that may be a little too short although she did win the Prix de la Forêt over seven furlongs last year. Undoubtedly best of the home defence is Freddie Head’s Polydream, who won the race last year but does not appear to be as good this term with victory in the Group 3 Prix Porte Maillot last time (Spinning Memories third) her only win following defeat in the Prix du Palais Royal that she won last year on route to Deauville success. INVINCIBLE ARMY comes here after an expected facile win in the Chipchase (Mr Lupton last) on the Newcastle tapeta. He disappointed at Royal Ascot burdened with my money so hopefully that will not happen again today.
Few ew chancers and one win only for consideration.. G355 Quizical 11/2 win only G430 Bletchley Castle 28/1 G500 Draycott Place 22/1 MR405 Nemean Lion 14/1 MR440 Sehayli 28/1 Be Lucky
I gave Polydream a chance to bounce back. She has been campaigned at the wrong trip this year and although this is a good, competitive, renewal of the race I think she can follow up last year's win because she is a shade of class on her day,
market rasen,3 00: an open contest, but COURT DUTY can get the hat-trick done today, even though hes rocketed up the ladder,handicap-mark wise.but he seems to have clicked for paddy brennan, and i expect them to team up for a third straight win today.
Polydream was a long way back but only picked up moderately and looks a spent force on this evidence. Advertise looked a bit short but he's done the business there. His dismal Guineas effort when carrying the burden of my cash looks a distant memory with good efforts ever since. Brando has run a cracker there but his prominent showing as a fairly exposed horse with limitations has reinforced the notion of some mediocrity overall in the Sprinting game. Another sound effort from Space Blues today and after a terrible re-appearance followed by an odds-on defeat he has been consistent and progressive since. Invincible Army was a no-show today and Le Brivido has dropped off the face of the Earth for O'Brien. Ryan Moore is having a terrible spell and his stats comine into today were 1/20 and 5% for his last score of rides, eek!
rasen,4 05: you could argue, that MIDNIGHT REQUEST had the run of the race last time out,but it was still a notable effort to beat a solid skelton yardstick into second, and given, that he has won off higher marks before in the past,he looks still feasibly treated today.good e w shout. galway, 4 30: ive always liked THEINVAL,and i think,he deserves a shot at this good race.has enough very solid high class handicap form from last season,to be competitive today..
Interesting to see Fahey choice of Hanagan on gabriel the tiger! H and the tiger are 3 wins out of there last 3 goes together . 8s with 365
I'm on the same combo in the last with Dark Devil. Got win single on it and in a double with Sticks at MR
Sorry chaps, really thought we were coming to win that but just couldn’t ever quite get to the front.
