I just finished work and was walking through Reading town centre, I couldn't help having a smug grin seeing so many fake hoop fans with a face like a slapped bottom<laugh>

Wow, what a way to start our season, not just the win but a win away:emoticon-0165-muscl

Right now this feeling could not get any better<diva>

A really great team goal with a fantastic finish!

As already mentioned, it reminded me of that Gerry Francis goal against Liverpool with the two finger salut which was also on the opening day.

A great result!

Have a wonderful evening folks! :)

Just got back. Wow what a game! Firstly the 4-2-3-1 formation suited us perfectly, even after a dodgy start with a poor back pass from scowen (lumley saved the day).
Samuel, was a constant threat all game and their full back just couldn't live with his raw pace. He set up the first for a hughill tap in. Bloody hell it was hard not to jump with joy. We settled after the goal and our passing was something I've not witnessed in a long long time. An absolute pleasure to watch and very rarely wasted. Barbet misplaced one and got booked but himself and hall did look more and more solid as the game went on. First half man of the match was Cameron. Cool, calm and experienced. The 2nd half was about Eze for me. This kid could be something great. He just creates so much space for himself and his goal was just pure class. We always looked like we could score on the break. When they pulled a goal back and we had made all our subs, we didnt panic, we just defended. It was good and so many positives. Hughill worked tirelessly but for me, what really stood out was the passing in possession and the awareness and pressure out of possession. My lad summed it up as we were leaving. I loved that dad. That's football I want to see.
I hope this can continue.
Man of the match for me would have to be shared between Cameron, eze and samuel.

Thought overall we were superb.

They looked completely out of ideas after an hour and the goal was out of the blue. A couple of hairy moments at the end where Lumley made complete hashes of set pieces but honestly was a textbook away performance. Makes a nice change.

Hugill was phenomenal. Everything Hemed was meant to be. We had a lot of nous and kept our heads with the experience of Cameron and Rangel massive. Bringing Leistner on when Hugill hobbled off was the right move and apart from our mistakes they only had half chances after their goal.

The Eze goal was unreal. Incredible ability. A bit like Taarabt when he rolled it in at home to Fulham under Hughes.

You must have been pleasantly surprised considering that you were predicting we'd get a right hiding and being very unimpressed with the squad. :1980_boogie_down:

QPR manager Mark Warburton:

"We have got some good young players - they just need some belief at how good they can be, and that will come with confidence.

"It is really pleasing to get the win. This is a tough place to come and it is a squad full of Premier League players.

"The dynamic changed after Stoke's goal, but I thought we dealt with it well and the players, to a man, stood up to it."
