Pretty poor first half from us. Bidwell looks cumbersome, Celina off the pace whilst Grimes has been disappointing. No service for Baston and no shots on target. Hull will score again unless Cooper makes changes.....
Great game this, a typical lazy start from the swans, a good talking to at half time and we step up and change the game, I am so pleased for Baston, a dream start for him, and his failing career, and to all those that have said that Dyer is passed it, up yours girls!........
My boy took his Devonshire girl to her first Swans game today, she's a Chelsea supporter, he's in the process of converting her to a Jack lass, he's onto a great start!!....
Sitting in the car waiting to get out of the car park..... Whatever Cooper said at half-time certainly had a great effect at start of second half. Far greater intensity & pace. That said, almost undid that by taking off Byers - the change affected us greatly, allowing Hull to get back in the ascendency. Woody flapped at times, Connor thinks he’s better than he is, Celina inconsistent (decent second half after an anonymous first half). Dyer probably our best player and it was great to see Baston score and his reaction - as well as the crowd’s!
lucky its a game of two halfs, imo we weren't that poor , yes we conceded a cheap goal but after that Hull really weren't effective going forward and we manged to deal with their balls into the box , Woodburn although young and not that big wasn't afraid to commend his area. Special mention for Bidewell who I though looked as good as some of the preaseason hype , hard game against a team who bleated at every decision against them with late foot ins and cynical challenges who I thought the ref could have dealt with earlier.
