They were playing the Wellington that evening (a Thursday) I believe. I believe it was Roland Lee Gift and his Akrylyx in support, having newly jumped on the ska bandwagon a few weeks before.
I had this on some French label as a single in 78...Skydog I think It troubled me when I played it and the A side 'I gotta right, because its ferocity and attitude made 95% of other punk singles look like Christopher Biggins meets Michael Portillo in Philip Schofield's conservatory. I could still enjoy some punk records after but this confirmed my doubts that 95% of them were lightweight wannabes and artschool poseurs
