Don't know much about the lad from 'The Toon', but other reports say he's off to Palarse for £5m, hopefully, we wouldn't pay £7m in that case. Can we pretend Wright is Webster and send him to Brighton for £20m....
If Webster goes for £20million plus, you can't blame him at all, then hats off to Ashton and LJ. Baker, Moore, Vyner and Kalas can hold the Fort till another CH is signed. Who knows how far Vyner and Moore have developed whilst away on loan.
I was told today, that Moore lost interest in football recently. Last season he got his mind back in the game and improved. One thing I’ve noticed is he’s been used a lot in preseason unlike some of the others. Also going on a recent photo of him, he’s definitely grown in body stature compared to last time I’ve seen him. He don’t look like he’s a boy in a mans game anymore. Looks like he’s been on the weights.

Interesting, I thought this was dead to be honest. Perhaps LJ is planning on having Weimann, Palmer and Sammy and O'Dowda vying for 2 spots playing just behind a lone striker?
Day 84 'It'll be expensive' - Lee Johnson on bringing a 'proven' striker to Bristol City before transfer deadline Until a striker arrives the head coach won't know his strongest formation
I have been reading this and the Webster thread. My thoughts for what they are worth, probably not a lot but I am sharing anyway In no particular order: · Why does everyone keep saying it is late in the Window? There are still 8 days, with only 1 game. Kodja was sold on the last day. Everyone seems to accept that Brighton are signing Webster as Dunk replacement, i.e. Brighton already had Webster as a target. I am sure that BCFC have a list of players. Not panics. · As said, I am sure BCFC have a list of scouted players they would like, they have probably even contacted these players agents. Now it is a case of seeing which ones they can get. Especially they now have a little extra money. · Many players will wait to see if a better offer comes, premiership club, if not they will then consider BCFC, this means late singings in the window. Not panics. · Similarly, there will be players with offers from other clubs waiting to see if BCFC come in for them. · I honestly believe BCFC have Palmer lined up, however they do not want to commit that budget until they are sure he is the best we can get. As a back up Palmer has Swansea lined up so if BCFC do go else where he is not left without football. · If / when Webster goes we may not get another centre back, we have Kalas, Wright and Bakes as proven Championship centre backs and Taylor Moore and Vyner as potential - that 5. Player recruitment is now a big department at Premiership and Championship clubs. The idea that BCFC are now panicking thinks **** we need to buy some players anyone know of any footballers we can get I think is absurd. OK we may not get who we want, may be not even what we want. But this is not a last-minute panic. This is something good clubs now plan for and when it happens put those plans in place. Ok the end of my thoughts.

Palmer has been linked with Swansea City of late but the Robins have won the race for his services with the former Huddersfield Town man having a medical before he signs officially with the BS3 outfit. We understand that it will be a permanent deal for £3.5m.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49175412 Does anyone know if we have any sell-on clause with the Heaton deal to Burnley? This report says he was 'released by Bristol City', I thought we sold him for c£1m?

They came in with another bid and now Bristol City are in for him as well. It shows how good the work we’re doing here with the young players is. Bielik looks like he’s going for £10m!” #cafc
