This can have catastrophic results for innocent home buyers.

Almost every week you hear of someone with a new build house that has turned out to be a nightmare. The repercussions of this are costly and stressful. It could be you or your children next. Some housebuilders try hard to get it right, but some seem to try very hard not to get it right. This simply is not acceptable. The law needs a tweak to allow honest homebuyers to contest the cowboy builders who pay themselves multi-million £££s on salary and bonus, but fail to deliver on their promises. Please give it two minutes to sign this petition, which is led by an eminent industry specialist barrister:

In the 80s, Victorian caste iron fireplaces became very fashionable, as did old decorative glazed tiles, all that stuff. If a Victorian terraced house in London was left vacant for more than a few days, someone would be in there smashing out the fireplace and fixtures in no time.
