Unless Ross has been lying then he was injured for almost the whole second half of the season that we had him, ankle injury I believe. It'd make sense if it was the kind of injury that prohibits doing a lot of running wouldn't it? And it's true that our service to him was ****e, long term problem of ours.
Grigg only really comes into the game in and around the box. He can create some space for himself and his movement can be good but he's not the kind of player who's going to create chances for himself out of nothing.
We very nearly didn’t sign Grigg due to what was initially seen as a serious long term injury. Do folk forget that? It was very visible that he had a problem.
True and I think it's fair to say that we haven't yet seen him at full fitness or match sharpness so we need to at least see how he does now he's got a clean bill of health. I get the criticisms of him and I've said them all myself at some point but an injury is an injury. Wyke was still not much use after he shook his off but he was certainly better.
Thats how it looks to me, but competition has arrived, so now he reckons their is no reason why he should not score 20 goals this campaign, arrogant talk is cheap, but if he does get the chance, works hard and delivers, we should cash in on him asp, that's what canny Wigan did, and not the first time.
