Wright is a centre back and we keep hearing that Vyner in the long term will also be a centre back and if he is going to step up then it’s about time we start playing him in his proper positon. We’ve lost a specialist right back in Pisano and now only have one specialist right back in the squad. This bloke is available on a free and played regularly for a team that almost got promoted into our division. I can’t see any problem with having a look at him. Fans that are referring back to his antics five years ago should get a grip.
Wright is neither a championship CH or RB. Came here as Flint's replacement, even given the club captaincy. Not LJ's best acquisition.
On the testy subject of lack of goal scoring power I read somewhere that if Fammy had scored 20% of his glaring misses last season we would have ended up in sixth place, and who knows from there? If we don't see evidence of a proven goal scorer coming on board this week then I will have serious doubts about us coming even close to our overall stats last campaign. That would mean having to listen to somewhat the same guff for the Jan transfer window. Come on Lee (and all those behind the scenes) and get the last piece(s) of the pie cooked and let us all taste success, but at least make it a forward tasting pie.
People complaining about his celebration in front of our fans at Swindon, forget that the famous Scott Murray flag is the same thing. If he comes it will be back up to Hunt and if he displaces him all the better.
‘I’m torn over this one’ – Bristol City eye move for 28-year-old: The verdict https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/i...ol-city-eye-move-for-28-year-old-the-verdict/
We need some reinforcements in midfield and striker department not been addressed for two seasons now. We go with practically the same team as last season, needs sorting bloody quickly
City could have a new striker by the weekend please log in to view this image Gregor MacGregor ✔ @GeeMacGee #BristolCity CEO Mark Ashton speaking on @bbcbristolsport tonight about whether a striker will come in: "It is a possibility - I would like to think we might have one in by Sunday. But it is vital we have a proven nine in before the transfer window closes." 37 8:10 PM - Jul 29, 2019
I think a lot of clubs are in the same boat RR. Certainly we are. We'll have to start the season with what we have now and introduce last minute signings over the first few weeks.
Day 83 Bristol City eye up £7 million Newcaslte United man as Webster speculation continues https://the72.co.uk/140559/bristol-...-united-man-as-webster-speculation-continues/
Can’t see this happening, it doesn’t fit Buying young players with a view to selling at a profit, he’s too old.
Your right it’s now getting late , can’t see anybody now being in on time to play Sunday, I want a striker too, but only if it’s the right one, what we really don’t want is to bring someone for the sake of it, better they bring in no one than get it wrong.
Brighton on course to secure service of in-demand 24-year-old https://the72.co.uk/140559/bristol-...-united-man-as-webster-speculation-continues/
Would he want to go there? They are odds on to be relegated, is one season in the Prem worth it, look at Bobby and Joe.....
Brighton bid £20m for Webster BIG news. Brighton have solidified their interest in Adam Webster by lodging a £20m bid for the player, according to Sky Sports News. Reports have been circulating today that Bristol City have already lined up Newcastle’s Ciaran Clark as a £7m replacement. Brighton’s bid is believed to be in the region of £20m plus add-ons. The report claims the Seagulls have had a number of offers rejected for the player this summer. It seems as though a deal could now be on though. Lee Johnson said in his pre-Leeds press conference on Tuesday: I’m not as confident of keeping him as I was when you guys asked me in America. Given the level of interest. There have been bids. But then there have been bids right across the squad. Even for the U23 players. We must have had some 10-20 bids across the summer for our players in total. I would just ask fans to trust us.
