It would be interesting to see how Clough would cope with the modern day footballers, and if his methods would work with them... Super Kev is probably my all-time favourite player, and having met him on a number of occasions, I will also say that he is one of the genuine good guys of football.
I think it showed that his methods didnt work on the over paid modern day footballers as the end of his time at forest wasnt very good. Pitty really as he was a good manager and just wished the board (sunderland) werent sooo scared of him at the time.
I think his later problems was to do mainly with his personal situation, especially alcohol. Put him in today's world at his prime and he would still be a great (although controversial) manager
For once you have my agreement Cyprus. What would we give for him as manager and Kevin up front. I reckon if we had taken cloughy up on his desire to manage us back in the 70's, we would all be in a very different place today and our club would be too. If only eh?
