Sorry your watching a different team to me. We look disjointed, leaderless and totally inept.

Bruce knows for a fact we are in serious trouble already.

Too much negativity for me. Anything better than 18th on January 1st. 2020 is better than last season. I'm looking forward to it and don't give a flying one about goal difference. Get with the beat boys and girls, new era, no more 30% average possession, and players playing with freedom to create. We will struggle far less than the last two years, mainly because Brucie won't constantly undermine the squad and will make the best of what he has. I'm most looking forward to a cup run.

This! We should be looking forward to this season. If we somehow manage to do well with wor steve (then great). If it all goes to **** (as expected) and we go down, we are one season closer to becomming a proper football club again. Win win.

Yay keep the faith, Bruce's coming home., none of the Rafa negativity, we'll be flying with SB and have a great cup run, the entertainers will be back!

Actually scratch that, no. Does anyone really think Bruce will be any good and not see him for what he is - another McClaren/Pardew/Souness/Carver/Roeder/Kinnear goon?

Why do people keep talking like Bruce is Keegan's protégé. Can someone find me examples of bruce's sexy football? He's more direct ill give him that. Expect loads of kick and run to make you forget all about Rafa

Howay lets not do this all again.

    1. Pre season is pre season (we have this same discussion on here every year man <laugh>). It really is about fitness and establishing your set up. Hence we made 9 changes at half time.
    2. Can we just give Bruce a chance. Yes his career is not exactly inspiring but neither were many others. Pardew had a gash record before joining us and then kept us up on a shoestring for 4-5 years. He even got us a run in Europe. Lets be honest every single fan anticipated relegation the day he was announced.

The fans need to snap out of the negative mindset pronto because it does filter down. Things are far from ideal but we need to get behind the team and try to enjoy it. If he does a **** job once the real stuff starts, and we are taking on water quicker than the titantic, then yeah I understand the pissing and moaning about him or our results. At least him **** it up first.

Not really. Though if he does as good a job as Pardew, whose record stands up nicely next to Rafa's in terms of results while playing better to watch football the majority of the time, then I think we'd all be ok with that.

Nat we got lucky in that window and the top teams stood still or had terrible seasons. This is nothing like then its much more in line with the mclaren season .

    We are worse.

Pardew kept us up on a shoestring 4 years in a row. The European run we got was down to a stellar season from us rather than other teams stalling. HBA/BA/Cisse were on fire from January. Bottom line is in terms of finishes/results, Rafa and Pardew were not much different on very similar budgets.

I do have similar worries this season to the McClaren season. The business we did was decent then too, similar to what we are looking like we are doing now. Unfortunately coaching incompetence severely hampered us. I fear the same with Bruce of course who is not exactly a great manager on his record. Hopefully though he can do a bit better like he did at Sunderland the first two seasons.

What are these "Cups" people are talking about? I didn't think we applied for the cup competitions and simply played some friendlies mid-season against lower ranked teams and agreed to lose deliberately by fielding a weakened sides?
