At the very least, Ralph is giving him a chance (as with Cedric and Hoedt too). It's clearly not a situation like Carillio (and Clasie when he was still with us), where Ralph has no inclination at all to give him a chance following the ending of his loan. So yes where don't know where on the spectrum Ralph is placing him (and the other two), but we know it's not in the extreme "I absolutely do not want him, he will never play for me, do everything in your power to get rid of him".
I was close, I told my Dad they were currently Brighton level earlier. (FC Sotonhuttl are obviously European hopefuls
Well I've analysed all the premiership teams pre-season results taking into account opponents, location and number of academy players present. Top 4: 1. Wolves 2. Man City 3. Saints 4. Man utd
“Hello Mr Hughes? Ah yes, quick question: you packed Sofiane off and played Wes every game - am I right?”
Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking Boufal and he took his goal really well. But just before that I was thinking -yeah - that's the guy I remember, a touch of genius then he gives the ball away. If he is getting a second chance that is the area Ralph needs to work on with him.
Well, they made the CL group stage once in the past decade, and their record in that span in CL (including qualifying) is 1 win, 11 losses. So they're a CL team in only the most generous of definitions, heh.
When Sadio Mane joined Saints he was running down blind alleys, wild passes and losing the ball all the time, but we had a class manager. 2 years with Koeman and he was a world class player. Boufal and Ely are similar players but have never had a real manager. Couple of dodgy games, dropped. Since Koeman we've had **** managers. I'm pretty sure our recruitment guys saw the same potential in both of them and now we have another raw recruit in Djenepo. Most importantly we now have Ralph! Better than Koeman I think. The potential in our players is enormous. Exciting times ahead!
Pre season results don't mean anything.... UNLESS YOU WIN MOST OF THEM AND THEN WE ARE GOING TO HAVE AN EXCITING AND EXCELLENT SEASON. Can't wait for 17 August especially.......bring it on.
Liverpool are sooo ****e right now. Let's whoop em in the second game of the season before they realise they're quite good
