HULL CITY PLAY THEIR FIFTH AND FINAL FRIENDLY OF PRE-SEASON ON SATURDAY AS THEY MAKE THE SHORT TRIP DOWN THE M18 TO FACE LEAGUE ONE DONCASTER ROVERS AT THE KEEPMOAT STADIUM (2PM). It will be the Tigers’ first visit to the home of the South Yorkshire outfit since August 2017 when the two sides met in the second round of the Carabao Cup. A young Hull City side – featuring eight debutants from the Academy – produced a spirited display against their more senior opponents but couldn’t prevent the hosts from progressing after slipping to a 2-0 defeat. The Yorkshire derby sees McCann return to face his former club just 36 days after leaving to join the Tigers but the Head Coach’s focus is firmly on ending their pre-season preparations on a positive note as they look to bounce back from Wednesday night’s 2-0 home defeat to French side Amiens SC. Doncaster appointed Darren Moore as McCann’s successor a day after their opening pre-season friendly – a 3-0 win over Rossington Main before registering a 3-0 victory over Gainsborough Trinity shortly. However, Rovers are winless in the last three friendly outings having drawn 1-1 with Halifax Town and slipped to back-to-back defeats at the hands of Grimsby Town and Huddersfield Town – losing 1-0 and 2-0 respectively. We lose 2-1 and pick up a couple of niggling injuries McCann gets into a scrap on the touch line and is banned to the stand for the Swansea game Shame
Thanks, passed me by that bit of news. Didn't last long did he. Wonder if OLM's doing the 2019-20 injury thread this season, hint...
I'm happy to do it, I just wasn't sure many actually read it, the first post being updated all the time seemed to pass most by.
Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham Cracking move. Dicko flick into Bowen, who plates up a cross that Irvine slides into the net.
Maybe it should have just the one post. Unlock it/lock it each time it's updated? I found it most useful, same with the first post on the transfer thread.
He isn’t injured, he just isn’t match fit, he hasn’t had the pre season the others have had so he’s on an accelerated programme. Think McCann said he will be back for Swansea.
