arf! i thought we might have to defend 117, but the 9th wicket pair have reverted to one-day batting to add a bit of a buffer.
Pretty much spot on Richard, one problem is that India has fallen in love with the shorter version of the game, and there seems to be only the English and Aussies crowds who really embrace the test form of the game now.
Olly Stone out first ball of the day! I know he's a number 11 but it just adds more comedy to what's been a comical test match!
Interesting stat. No team in the last 112 years of Test cricket has made a total of 85 or lower in the first innings of the match and then gone on to win.
Wash your mouth out Plummy - this has been a wonderful example of Third World test cricket, as someone wrote yesterday ''the Aussies will be quaking in their boots watching that''
Good bowling display this morning in bowler friendly conditions doesn't for me hide the problems we obviously have .. our top 3 of a couple of years back have yet to be replaced .. I'm sure once Roy adjusts he will take one of the spots but Burns and Denley are hopelessly out of touch. Alli hasn't produced a decent innings for an age so will they include him just for a spin option or turn to Rashid .. the man the confounded Kholi. I think the pace attack will pick itself tbh dependent on conditions .. my fear is the batting currently looks weak .. with very little options to choose from who take the eye and who hasn't been given a chance already.
