Not much time left to unshonkify before the season begins. I don't put too much stock in pre season friendlies, but it's not good omens so far.

Damn - and I was on holiday and missed it. "See how it all goes" is always my philosophy - attempting to predict the future with any degree of certainty is a mug's game. However, I do think last season's performance has a distinct bearing on our immediate future, and saying that it's all in the past - as though it were entirely irrelevant - is incorrect. The success of last season will give everyone an increased belief and confidence in their own ability. The trick is to ensure it doesn't turn into over-confidence and entitlement. I've been away and haven't seen any of our pre-season, but I never put too much store in that anyway.
