The tapas he posted the other day was just lazy tapas. The patatas braves was terrible, the sauce was just out of a bottle. I eat a lot a paella when I’m over there. Been going to the costa Blanca every year since 2003. Tried the one where it is paella but using tiny strips of pasta rather than rice. Was marvellous.
If you want lazy tapas then Las Ramblas is the place to go, the food there is dreadful. The place Luv has been going to, assuming it's the same one, is away from the touristy bits. Was decent when I've been. Best Barca tapas is in the Boqueria market. Even better I've had is a bar in Cardiff, outstanding!!
I’ve always found Spanish food to be quite basic in general unless you go to a really good restaurant. Will see if I have photos of the food from my favourite place over there. The chef trained in the costas only Michelin star restaurant then set up on his own in the village I got married in.
It was probably the worst place we've been, it was on Las Ramlas but don't get me Wrong it was nice and the patatas Bravas was nice.
Spanish cuisine is very basic and rustic in my experience. Particularly like the cold soup Salmorejo and Carrillada which is beef or pork cheeks braised in GRAVY.
Make sure you try a fidua while you’re there. Also have the liver next time you have tapas. I always have the cockles too.
Yeah and I'm looking for that. The rabbit was superb it may not look great but the taste was amazing salty crispy edges and lovely meat on the bone simply grilled. Certainly wouldn't add a sauce to it the olive oil was enough.
Going to a place called Tapeo Bourne tomorrow which is highly rated I'll keep an eye out for those dishes.
I’m talking about how they treat animals over there. Dogs , cats, cows, donkeys. They’re all so badly treated.
