have you read the "prequel" series beginning with Intervention if not you might want to look them up .
Cheers buddy ... I haven't, partly because th a Gallactic Millieu element was the least interesting aspect for me ... the whole 'exile thong was what really grabbed my imagination. A shame she didn't get around to writing about events post The Adversay and of course she has now popped her cloggs. I think it would make a cracking film now that CGI is so incredible and it's real GOT type material in many ways ...
I wish you hadn't given that much away! Sounds like an episode of Dr Who tbh. Not the good ones either. One where this bloke was the Doctor... please log in to view this image
No mate ... my hols are relaxation, recuperation and copious amounts of wine and beer ... a good book, our own swimming pool and wonderful panoramic scenery
The clocks almost literally stop for my Mrs on holiday. I do absolutely ****ing everything. Drive, cook, shop, run around after the kids, bollock the kids, swim, organise the kids, play football, play cricket, throw frisbee, have surf lessons, surf. She reads books.
I did 2 holidays which really pissed her off. One was a villa in Malta, the other a cottage in Newquay. Both were obviously self-catering. I didn't cook except for one bbq Tbf though I drove everywhere, planned every day's excursions etc, looked after the kids and managed pretty much everything else.
No mate ... but it does have a Viking.... and hot alien birds that will **** you up in every conceivable way ... so yeah ... just like Dr Who
Anyone read the Magician series by Feist? The Mistress of the Empire books bare a very strong similarity to Daenerys story In GoT but was written years earlier.
then I have read the prequels but ot the original series. I read magician, Silverthorn & Darkness at Sethalon in order, then a few of the in random order. But, like Terry Goodkinds 'sword of truth' series, there's too many of them. He does write well though, keeps you in the story. My Number 1 author is Wilbur Smith, pulls you in and keeps you there from page 1. River God is an epic read.
Used to read loads but not since I've been here. I like to relax with a talking book as I'm too lazy to keep turning the pages.
