Sadly I can't see a credible source for the Lumley rumour anywhere, which makes sense as the quoted figure isn't exactly credible. As far as I can see, one anonymous chap with hardly any followers on Twitter posted it and everyone has just believed it. I'd be delighted to be wrong, but looks like fake news.
Frankly a disappointing lack of rumours so far this transfer window, though a few weeks to go before it closes at 5 on 8 August
Can't see it, why would anyone offer £7 million when they know how desperate we are & the board would jump @ 70k
can't believe here is no rumour anywhere on Gareth Bale signing for us.....after admitting he is a closet R's fan......still it is only Tuesday
Seems to me , we need a goalie who can "play out from the back" and then as "rush goalie" knock in a few goals as a "striker". Have we already brought Jorge Campos out retirement? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jorge_Campos
Moreover, it's hard to believe we could get £7 million for Lumley when Smithies was appreciably better and, as I recall, went for £4million. If all true, LOL, I'd sell the former and buy the latter back in a heartbeat.... and still be £3 million better off. But Christmas only comes once a year and usually in December....
That has made me sad but I do agree with previous comments too about his limited ability. Seems like a nostalgic bit of QPR has walked out the door.
Even better is the fact that the mascot's outfit looks as though it was knocked together in 5 minutes using the junk from my shed
Have we got anyone left? It's literally going to be Queens Park Strangers next season. A couple of years ago I went to one of those fans meetings with Les Ferdinand, He couldn't emphasize enough about stability and how QPR couldn't keep going into every season with so many personell changes. Yet here we are with our biggest churn ever and probably the largest of any club in the top four divisions.
