We’re fast becoming one of those sides you simply do not approach for players. If we’re in the market to sell, we’ll let the market know.
It’s true, plus Utd are looking to spend the big bucks on the top players, like Sean Longstaff and Slab Head. They’re so lucky having Ole at the wheel
Squad rivalry is intense at Man Utd when it comes to being in the starting XI for Europa League games. Neither could endure that culture.
If you recently had hip surgery, would you seek out and irritate someone known for smashing peoples' hips to pieces ??
Lo Celso not named in Betis’ pre-season tour of Mexico. Although I think that is partly down to the possibility he might still be on holiday after the Copa America.
Bale's mouthy and ridiculously aggressive agent has stated that his client won't be departing Real on a loan deal. While I don't want him back at Spurs, I do feel that Gareth (or at least his agent) is needlessly backing himself into a corner. Talk of him wanting a pay RISE to leave Madrid is frankly ridiculous. There are only 3 clubs on the planet outside of China who could afford to pay a permanent fee plus his insane wages: City, United and Barca. And none of them are remotely interested in signing him. So, loan out the question. Wage cut out the question. China or Real's reserves for 3 years it is. Madness. This is what pride and greed can do.
Already said that his agent is probably the big issue in Bale and Madrid getting this resolved as amicably as possible.
Betis have released their pre-season squad and a certain someone's missing, despite having been in training post-Copa America.... There are suggestions on another site that he's already at Hotspur Way having a medical...
If they do weekly wages with cessation if he signs for another team during the 3 years, that would work. I doubt it though (re my "constructive dismissal" comment) .
Constructive dismissal isn’t an issue, if they compensate him in full. They may do that if this gets any more toxic.
...or Jonathan Barnett has been taking notes from Daniel. The more ridiculous his behaviour and demands, the more likely that his client gets to pick what he wants to do and gets a stellar deal to do it. I'd be demanding a whole herd of unicorns and stamping my feet for all that I was worth. Then when you suggest something a little less ridiculous...
I swear we were linked with about half of that squad before they ended up at Betis. Bartra and Tello from Barca, Carvalho at Sporting, Joaquin at Valencia about a million years ago and Fekir, just for starters.
Attempting constructive dismissal is to make things so intolerable that Bale will do anything to get out in a manner that saves Madrid face (and big money) . Again, IMHO the issue is Madrid hubris (will they take a transfer fee hit for the offset in saved wages - they have already paid Spurs in full) .
I’m enjoying how Bale is toying with Madrid...they were keen to tap him up...now they can deal with him. Hope he sends them to the cleaners.
I agree fully. This is not Bale greed. Bale is a business man. Real helped make him so. This is one of the only occasions I agree with Danny Mills too. Why should he leave quietly. He has a contract. Either buy him out of it, and let him go where he wants to, or keep him. They made a bed and don't want to lay in it.
Quite enjoying the Madrid-Bale scenario. It’s about time Real got a bit dicked over. They tapped him up before signing him. Bale ended up refusing to train and play for us because of it. They built his brand. Gave him a whopper of a new contract a year or so ago and are now basically stuck with him unless they agree to sell on the cheap and subsidise a portion of his wage. **** you, Real
