No idea CW because I haven't seen the new additions play. If they aren't good enough to go straight in the team, then we won't be much stronger than last year. If they are good enough it will be interesting to see what our first team line up is like
I could be way out but if a Championship side is looking to strengthen their central defence, he is obviously thought to be better than who they had last year. How much is/was their Championship central defender worth? The other thing is that other teams are also interested so that could push up the price. I wonder if this means the end is near for El-Abd? I wouldn't be sorry to see him go out on loan as he's a liability in defence, he's too slow, gives the ball away or a foul in the area or just outside plus he has the turning circle of a cruise liner.
I make it we have 14 under contract for the season (including 2 loanees from QPR and 1 GK)) 6 under contract for 2 seasons (including 1 GK). BUT that includes Jason McCarthy 1 under contract for 3 seasons Total 21 (20 if JM goes)
