All this talk of Bale must have got to me. I've just bought three season tickets. Now watch the Glasgow/Southampton flight costs double....
It would be interesting to see what would happen if he got an offer from a PL side or Bayern. He would still be earning a mint and would play proper football - If I was already as rich as he is then I would prefer to earn 250k a week than £1m. Especially as sponsorship opportunities will be greater in Europe
I'm sure his agent would write off his percentage happily Of course any agent would have his client's, and his, earning potential as a priority. Sadly the days of emotions and heart driving footballer's decisions have mostly gone.
Good point - although ultimately if Bale wanted to continue in Europe rather than head to China he could inform his agent of this.
Looks like we're terminating Clasie's contract. http://sportwitness.co.uk/southampt...h-another-club-will-then-sign-four-year-deal/
Makes sense and we might need to start taking this sort of action with other players - accept we will not get what we paid and save on wages
Guess my avatar and name is cursed Shame it never worked out for him, but yet another example where it feels like we didn't even scout the player before signing him.
In such a case would we pay off the rest of his contract or negotiate an amount so he can leave early?
If we can get rid of 20 Classie’s then maybe we could afford a Bale (on loan)! With Charlie on the way out and Brexit looming we need a new form of currency!!
