Lolz[/QUOTE] He does seem a bit obsessed with CBs- never seems to comment in goals scored or other aspects of game
Went to the match today. First time in Preston. Preston have a neat little modern ground, not identikit Saints, Leicester. Smaller home crowd than I expected but more Saints fans than I thought would turn up. First half seemed like Groundhog Day. Long balls whacked from one end to the other or backwards. Small-bone p/s and Obafemi looked frustrated, constant movement into spaces, no one passing to them. Occasionally they got a pass and looked surprised when it arrived. The baby CB Klarar looked like a new born giraffe at times, like his legs had a mind of their own, but he put himself about and showed he wasn't intimidated. Nice to come home from an away game that was a win and not a load of carp.
Linking up quite well. some nice play there for pre season. The squad still confuses me. Why are players like Bertrand, Hojbjerg and Redmond with the squad and Prowse, Romeu, Valery etc not? Do we know who's going to China and who's going to Ireland yet?
Seems like the lack of players such as Ward-Prowse, Valery, Adams etc might be down to the fact that Saints played a behind closed doors friendly against Brentford yesterday. Bertrand confirmed it on his Instagram.
Same score as the last time we played them in April 2011, just before we got promoted to the Championship. It’s a sign!
I heard the likes of Adamns, JWP & Yoshida were going to Macau so maybe that's why a load were missing as well. Guess we'll see soon.

Good to see the full backs getting into the box. In one of the attacks shown both Cedric and Bertie were in the box together.
Guess Shane & Maya are trustworthy senior pros and Che is the big money signing. Nice trip out for the youngsters. Is Ralph even flying out for the match?
We knew they'd be splitting the group, but only 6 true first teamers in there. Although we knew that the weaker side was going to Macao, you'd still expect a more impressive side than this. Suspect that Ralph has had a hand in this...not wanting to interrupt pre-season training too much for a flag-waving exercise.
It says 'Ralph has taken' so suggests he's gone as well...leaving the main squad in the trusty hands of the coaching team.
https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/1...asenhuttl-splitting-squad-trip-china/?ref=rss Ralph explains that this trip is to please the owner (as we could all guess). He says that he and the senior players will fly back immediately after the match on Tuesday to join the team in Ireland and the youngsters will follow on later.
