I'm skint. Eldest is off to university this summer, so that's £5k a year for the next 3 years. Beans again for dinner.....
If there was any truth in the suggestion that Christian Eriksen was Atletico's second choice no.10, he might not be going there either....
My eldest starts her last year in December...we get a year off then my youngest starts. . What the **** was I doing helping them to love learning?
My uni kid works but still needs help...we send her £400 per month and buy her stuff from Sept to June and she works full time during the summer... It's been a good experience for her but her debt will be horrific! Really pleased we could help her though...might not get shipped off to a **** nursing home when I am on my last legs
The hatred you are going to receive if Lo Celso is not signed, because you put your kids' uni costs ahead of coughing up for Betis.
I'm in the process of convincing Mrs B to let me and my brother start up Brian & Bros. International Export Co. Currently, it's a thorny subject and me chucking extra dosh in to buy Lo Celso is likely to see me joining the fox living in next door's garden. Mrs B tolerates most of my lunacy but bank rolling Joe Lewis is several steps too far...actually, more like several billion steps.
Looks like Toby May well be staying... https://www.goal.com/en/news/alderw...ottenham-future-is/1qwczrbbzrruy1s3k0cm358qm9
In and of itself, this doesn't look much...but it's his first tweet since 1 June and doesn't look like it comes from a player on his way out the door... Could Lo Celso signing be the key to keeping him..........................................and £200k p/w, obviously?
Pretty sure it ends on Friday night, which is 14 days before the transfer window closes for the PL. He gave quite a positive interview after the game yesterday. I think it's probably dawning on him that he may well still be a Spurs player come Aug 9th.
So he is available for 25m up to friday evening, and then after that whatever Levy decides. I assume Levy will let him go for free next summer if he does not extend his contract.
Hopefully he’s still here next week and the club and him come to an agreement on a new contract. I can’t believe there have been no bids for him, £25million is a steal (even at his age) when you see lesser players like Harry Maguire being more than 3 times that amount.
I'd much rather we risk losing him for free if it means getting another season out of him. We only paid £11m, if that gets us 5 good years of service in which by then he'll be 31, I'll take it, solid investment that paid off big time as his contributions towards us getting CL football have been huge.
Toby will be a free agent next summer. Once the PL season starts, there is only one transfer window remaining in which he can be sold. I could see Levy doing something like selling him then to Ajax for a nominal fee with T+Cs being he has to serve at least one season.
