Even at 32, Leicester would want crazy money. He also likely wouldn't leave to play second fiddle. Too good for a backup striker.

No worse than Dele I would say with his off field antics

Top forwards are happy to play solo or in a pair, but do not like
to be sitting out games for too long. At Spurs it would be worse as
it appears that Pochettino is doing a combo of failing the
"me boss, you not" and rush back to starting XI control of Kane.

He would do well to counsel Fergie on how he managed the striker
embarrassment of riches he had during that epic 1998-99 season.

For me, we should try Dele in the position. He would definitely give defenders a hard time and has the bulk and mobility.

He would also have matches where he would be superfluous in midfield ( e.g if we lined up with Tanguy, Goat and Winks)

    I do like the idea of going down the 4-3-3 route, but we will need a little more squad adjustment to play this, so in an ideal world the squad at Midnight on deadline day would look something like this;

GK - Lloris, Gazzaniga and another (HG)
Defenders - Alves, KWP, Foyth, Sanchez, Dier, Vertonghen, Davies, Rose/Sessegnon
Midfield - Ndombele, Sissoko, Winks, Lo Celso, Ceballos, Skipp (and probably Wanyama)
Forwards - Kane, Son, Moura, Dele, Eriksen, Lamela

    Or:
    How about Moise Kean?

I just hope with a couple more signings poch won't run certain players into the ground like last season.

I hope these rumors about Eriksen signing a new contract are true, and I also hope that this will not mean we forget about signing Lo Celso or another creative player. We could do with more strength in depth and competition for places. Keep Toby also, bring in Sessegnon and maybe bring Llorente (or another) back as a plan B striker option and we are looking stronger. Levy should be able to partly balance the books by selling Janssen, GKN, Onomah and Rose etc

We won bigger games than we have won in a long time last year with Moura, Dele and Son up front. Could we get Kane to act like a better Llorente, I wonder?

I'm not holding my breath. The best we are at all likely to do, I think, is

    Lloris
    Sissoko Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose
    Eriksen Dele Ndombele
    Moura Kane Son

That's a sexy looking side and I'd happily see that in the Prem. Although I do think that a) Rose will be sold and b) Poch won't play Sissoko RB despite the fact he's arguably our best player for the role at present (and the fact it allows us to not have to drop Dele from the XI which I think could happen if we go 433, at least initially, until he worked his way back after a disappointing season last year).

With us using the diamond in pre-season again, I think we might be lining up that way - although I think a Christmas Tree makes more sense based on current personnel
    Lloris
    Foyth Toby Verts Davies
    Ndombele Winks Sissoko
    Son Dele
    Kane

That would also allow a degree of rotation as well, with Sanchez, Lucas, Lamela and Dier being the obvious players to come in, while Skipp and Parrott can also come into that formation and settle into their more familiar roles

I tend to agree on both points. But I'm hoping two lessons learned from the CL run are

play Moura-Dele-Son, at least against top teams, and

play the best players, other things being anywhere near equal.
