Same here. I will be happy when the transfer window closes as loads of ridiculous stuff is made up during this period. Not attacking anyone but I have just read on this thread that a player with over 100 goals and assists in 2 seasons is limited. I am sorry but that is just absurd. He is a key player who scores very important goals and without him we do not get to back to back finals.
I think the love in with Salah is not what it was, obviously you've got to take rumours with a pinch of salt, but it's clear he wants to be the main man and as a result can be a bit selfish at times. Usually if you've got a player like Salah, you have no one to compare him to, but we've got mane, an almost direct comparison, and I think most would rather keep him.
Can't see it being Bayern. Don't German clubs have tight wage controls? Bale would probably break some rules and I can't see him lowering his wage demands by that much. There are only 3 or 4 clubs in Europe that can really afford him. City, PSG, Man U and of course Real. US?, but again don't they have wage caps? China?
Absolutely this. Mane had a phenomenal year and even then only just equalled salahs scoring record but not assist. Tbf to mane he works his butt off and has far greater energy than salah. However i remember this time the year before people werent happy with manes lack or touch and finishing skills and now everyone is mane over salah. Funny how these things change quickly
How do you only just equal something? It's not like he scored four in the final game to get there. Mane provides alot more defensive cover than Salah, he does work for the team. To provide cover for your full back and still only just be top scorer in the league is a fantastic achievement. Its manes work rate and commitment that gets him recognised. How many times have you heard us bemoan Salah for he should have passed, never mind when he just through his hands up and gives up. Having hazard as your number one player for to lose g has coloured your opinion of what a player should be
Only equalled is in reference to everyone acknowledging salahs had a down year and manes had his best ever. With respect to mane, everyone has always seen him as a hard worker but there were a few who thought he was put out of joint a bit the season before when his end product and confidence was down a bit and he got plenty of criticism. This year seems to have changed a lot of peoples opinions very quickly with mane being far more clinical and salah seemingly looking more selfish. Think you will find ive never been hazards greatest fan. Hes a big loss for my club but ive always said he should be doing more with his skills .
As it was me who used the term limited I will attempt to defend it In his first season despite scoring numerous goals Salah seemed way more interested in the team. Like Couts we all know what Salah is going to do before he does it Toward end of the first season defenders were starting to get the hang of him His total fell totally understandably During his quest to beat a record he became very very very selfish as well as protesting and diving quite a bit. Do I want rid No that is absurd The comment where I used the term limited I said if a really good offer came in it would not upset me if he went. I agree with all that have said he is better with us But I am not sure he would be the loss that some seem to think What I am saying is I totally trust Klopp and team to find a suitable replacement Mane and firm I think would be trickier And vvd virtually irreplaceable Peace
Said it before last season; If we had to pick one if the front three to leave, it would be Salah for me. Great player and gets the goals/assists but Bobby and Mane offer much more than that.
Just seen that Trippier as joined A.Madrid. also, Danny Rose as been linked to Barca too. WTF is going off? Alderweireld probably going and strong rumours that Eriksen will be off too. If they all leave, you'd expect Spurs to splash some cash.
Hmmm......such a hard call to make. Salah creates so much space for the other two. If teams don’t double up on him he tears them apart. Mane works deeper and harder but can miss a few. Bobby can have games when he’s not as effective but everything runs through him. As a 3 they have everything and compliment each other. I couldn’t pick one tbh - it would really depend on who we were buying!
Plays complete garbage for over a year, Woodward makes him the highest paid GK in the world Where is @moreinjuredthanowen when you need to point how just how good Michael Edwards is?
Don't know. Was just scanning Sky Sports to see what I've missed during the week (had a very busy week)
If I said it another way it might more sense; I think Salah is the easiest (but not easy) of the three to replace.
350-375k a week. Before last season you’d say ok given Sanchez is on 300k and Rashford is now on 200k a week.
If we sell any of our front three players now we are not ambitious. Serious clubs do not sell their key players.
