As I've mentioned before, it's a real advantage to have a CB with DM skills as well for carrying the ball out of defence but also able to react and adjust if the ball is lost. IMO this would work best when we play with a back three, which is what DF has been trying out lately. The advantage of having a CB who can also play as a DM in this way is that you can also play Trybull alongside the CM, who can move forward when the ball is won.
There is a good footballer inside him somewhere, as shown by the brilliant goals he scored when we first signed him. Unfortunately he's a petulant child with an enormous ego. He became too much of a distraction and needed to go, another useless drain on money and resources removed. I hope he does well in Greece though.
In any case his talent, even at its best, doesn't fit Farkeball. He doesn't like the hard work involved and we have four strikers who do.
The most crazy thing is that it looks like we got a few for him. €1m-€3.5m has been quoted. Suspect the higher fee contains his wages.
Yes, but his signing for Norwich was already a case of a temperamentally-flawed perennial loanee finally finding a club prepared to offer him a contract. He had talent enough to prosper at any number of clubs; Farkeball, after all, is not obligatory in top level football.
No, but it is the way we play and he simply doesn't fit. As for other teams, I'd guess none of them wanted to take a chance on ending up with the problems we have had.
The Wreide rumours have sprung up again possibly a loan to stick him in the window for Bayern . I would rate it 6/10 for likeliiness
Obviously the rumours that the Blades weren't going to spend, spend, spend were 'wide of the mark!!!' - https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...-mousset-for-club-record-10m-from-bournemouth
You know when your club is going in the right direction when you see your rivals spending big money on new players and it doesn't bother me, I'm content with the ones we already have and thrilled with our current players getting new contracts.
Mourgos back on loan to Dordrecht, where he was looking good last season before injury, looks to be likely. Dordrecht media certainly expecting it. Makes some sense to send him back where he's wanted and performing well, and Cantwell did enough at that level to be involved in a Championship promotion tilt.
I'm working a lot of little jobs around the City today. Might be a rare chance to pop into the Club shop to try on and buy the new home shirt. On a weekday, can you park up outside the club shop at the stadium? They don't close it off or anything do they? I've only been there on a Saturday, or at night if going to Yellows. Don't want to drive out of my way through the traffic and realise I can't get parked up anywhere close to the Club shop. Cheers.
I'm not sure re the little car park outside the shop. As the General says, park in Morrisons and walk across. You could always park down near the Holiday Inn and go into the ticket office first to get tickets for either of both friendlies!!! We've approached Bayern Munich, apparently. Well, it makes a nice change from beating them! https://readnorwich.com/2019/07/21/norwich-approach-bayern-over-deal-for-wriedt/
