When you think that not so long ago we were fighting Exeter to stay in the league, we are now playing them in a friendly having spent several seasons rising through the leagues and time in the premier league - we should be grateful for what we have done. We could have been in their shoes and be recovering from time in non league.
We've definitely been spoiled over the past 15 years , its just a pity that our rise to the top has come at a cost .PL greed turned too many heads I'm afraid
I think everyone is grateful for what we have done, but quite a few of us feel that our success could have been maintained for a few more seasons if mis-management and greed hadn’t taken place.
It has happened now so we must forget it as it is done. We are where we are, I wish we were playing significant oppositions in pre season games as these div2 and non league games are telling us very little. I would prefer to play teams at our level or higher even if we lose because then we will see where we have to look to strengthen or not....As things are we only know we can beat much lower opposition and not teams on par or better than us.....Hopefully we will be ok but i would not put any money on it as we just dont know...
Play him till Christmas, hopefully he’ll score a few goals and we can recoup some cash. This will be our last chance.
Anyone know if the Bristol Rovers match is being shown live tonight ? The other friendlies have been on the Swans website but I can't see anything about tonights match......... EDIT : Found it
Good pre-season so far the lads look to be working hard and generally playing good stuff. How nice it would be if that goal suddenly switched Borja into a goal machine!
