Jean Seri in 2017: On the verge of joining Barca after they agreed a fee with Nice, only for them to pull the plug on the deal at the last minute and sign Paulinho. **Barca then won the double that season** Jean Seri in 2018: Great season with Nice, linked to us (with many fans wanting him - myself included), City, Utd and Chelsea, somehow joins Fulham. Jean Seri in 2019: Suffered a relegation with Fulham and just joined Galatasaray on loan. From a potential double winner to a relegation and loan to Turkey in the space of two years. Football can be brutal.
I read something ages ago about him having some sort of joint issue that only plays up in cold weather. Signing for a club that gets frozen by the Thames for half of every season probably wasn't the best idea.
I think someone actually mentioned that on the transfer thread last year after he'd just signed for Fulham, may have been Brian although not 100% sure. Makes his decision to join Fulham even more foolish than what it was, it already felt that he was just accepting the first offer to come his way and had he waited out a bit longer then chances are a top side would've gone in for him at some point, but choosing to join a club on the edge of a river with that supposed join issue really has to be up there with extremely dumb decision making. A shame for him though because I do really think he's a very good footballer, just clearly doesn't have the brain (or joints!) to match.
This also underlines how brief a player's time as The Next Big Thing can be. A year ago he had numerous clubs interested in him, but the emergence of Ndombele and Gedson Fernandes has seen his stock plummet
"We want to win big trophies again. That is what the history of this club deserves" - Juan Mata, reminding me of the Nottingham Forest fans giving it the big "We Are" when they were playing in League One
I read it was £100,000 per week and thought that was insane. Football is determined to financially implode.
Maybe £100,000 is basic and he can earn £180,000 with bonuses, either way I stand by my original comment
The term "more money than sense" definitely comes to mind. Although when has Chelsea and its fans ever had any sense?
Looks to be a reaction to the transfer ban. Chelsea can't afford to lose too many players. And players know they can push for more money knowing this.
Football Club Chikhura Sachkhere, commonly known as Chikhura Sachkhere or simply Chikhura, is a Georgian football club based in Sachkhere. They play in the Erovnuli Liga.
It's worth mentioning (Ctrl + C) Chikhura have been funded by a billionaire since 2002 - or, as he's known these days, the Prime Minister of Georgia That's a pretty sweet setup they have there: they have the funding to stay ahead of everyone but the more established Tbilisi teams, and I doubt they'll concede many penalties in case the matter comes up in parliament...
