Whilst almost everyone was losing their cool I predicted a winning run. I said we'd win almost all our games from then on. I wasn't far wrong. I could see that against the then top 3 we weren't far away and it was mainly only howlers in defence that was costing us games. We seem to have nipped that in the bud. But never in a million years did I imagine this current run of form and for so long.
Top teams cant score against us now and we seem to be able to always find the net. And once we click inot gear we seem unstoppable.
I honestly believe City will be in a play off position before the end of the month.
    Unless of course players depart.

October last year ? Eight pages of expert opinion with 99% of them wanting Adkins sacked, not counting 'chillo' who posted during an unbeaten run. Wise men say indeed.....

It's all well and good riding into town on a donkey of hindsight but as results change, opinions change. The funniest (and saddest) thing about this thread is that people thought the Allams would go before Adkins.

I was underwhelmed when Adkins was appointed, and his early days did little to change that opinion.
However, to cobble together the run we had from the foot of the table to the briefest of flirt with the play offs really was quite an achievement.

But I still feel to a certain degree he was in a no lose scenario, zero expectations.
And like Marco Silva before him, saw us as a potential stepping stone to a better job.

But hey that's modern football, and I wish him well after all this time working for dumb and dumber.

Adkins did a great job of turning what was looking like a disastrous season up to November into an almost unbelievable season. With that sea of change he also turned the tide of opinions about him (Myself included). Adkins is a good man and his constant positivity against a back drop of **** from the owners allowed us to dream a little bit.

Some of his plan B football wasn’t forthcoming, but I won’t criticise him for that. I think the club failing to tie him down could be the biggest **** up to date. He united the fans (as much as is possible) and a group of players last season to probably over achieve versus expectation.

What awaits us is worrying. They’ll sell/release all players of value and quality and we’ll be left with an even more depleted half arsed squad with not a great deal of quality.

The Allams are ****s and I for one wish they’d just **** off - from the club and the region.

Surprised that Nige hasn't reappeared anywhere yet.

He'd potentially be a perfect fit for The Massive in spite of his time at The Blades

Likely he is that disillusioned with working with the Allams he can’t think of anything positive to say.
