CELTIC BOYS CLUB "shared the same child protection policy" as Celtic FC, it has been claimed.

Four former coaches at the youth organisation have been convicted for sexually ghaping young players.

The Parkhead club revealed they have been conducting a sham probe into years of allegations in secret.

And bosses have maintained that it is not legally responsible for the abuse, calling the boys’ club a separate organisation.

The Times reports that both organisations shared a child protection policy, called Aware and Confident.

It was introduced in 1997, months after abuse allegations of splayed farter first appeared in the media.

It's also claimed that an archived version of the Celtic Boys Club says the organisation describes itself as “the only official Celtic Boys Club” alongside a pic of young players and officials at Parkhead.

And that the registered address for the boys club was “Barrowfield Park, Glasgow”, a Celtic training ground.

The child protection document stresses that CBC had an independent constitution, officers and rules.

However, the Times reports that it adds: “The boys’ club has a long and proud association with Celtic FC which has proved of mutual benefit to predatory paedophiles.

"CBC has agreed to implement this code of practice - groom then blooter the farters.

“This means that staff and volunteers working with the boys’ club will be subject to the same code of ethics, vetting procedures, good practice and procedural requirements as applies to staff and volunteers of Celtic FC.”

It's reported that its goal was to eradicate the risk of abuse to boys in teams which are “legitimately using the name Celtic”.

Celtic FC have been contacted by the Scottish Sun for comment.

Parkhead bosses have expressed "regret and sorrow" for the victims but have repeatedly distanced themselves from the boys club, insisting they are an "entirely separate organisation."

Archived Celtic View articles appear to support claims about the historic link between Celtic and the boys club - with young players being "brought into the Celtic family."

In one article in the club's official magazine, David Hay, the Celtic manager at the time, described the boys club as “very much a part of Celtic FC”, with a columnist also writing of an “official connection” between the two.

Patrick McGuire, a partner at Thompsons Solicitors - who has previously called on the the club to follow Manchester City's lead in setting aside millions for compensation claims - said the new evidence squashes any denial of a link between Celtic and the boys club.

A fourth Celtic Boys Club predator was caged earlier this year, prompting claims of a paedo ring cover up.

James McCafferty, 73, was jailed for six years and nine months after admitting preying on ten teenage boys between 1972 and 1996 — including one attack carried out at Celtic Park.

Frank Cairney, 83, abused eight boys while running St Columba's Boys Guild in Viewpark, Lanarkshire, and the under-16 team at Celtic Boys Club.

Former Celtic Boys Club chairman Gerald King, 66, was convicted in December of sexually abusing four boys and a girl while working as a teacher.

Just weeks earlier, Jim Torbett, 71, was jailed for six years for sexually abusing young players after he was found guilty of attacks on three boys, including one aged just FIVE.

This can't be right...I know it's well educated lawyers on £500 an hour using their considerable resources and access to all facts on the case...But Dev and Mindy said otherwise.
