A place to discuss the trials and tribulations of Spurs players on loan during this season. Luke Amos : QPR. Cameron Carter-Vickers : Stoke. Jack Clarke : Leeds. Anthony Georgiou : Ipswich, Kazaiah Sterling : Doncaster. George Marsh : Orient. Jack Roles : Cambridge.
I’m excited to see how Amos gets on hopefully playing regular at that level. He had a very promising time before his injury so hopefully the Warburton link proves to be a mutually profitable one for us again.
Injury has not been kind to him, as allegedly he was ready for inclusion in the senior squad. Hopefully he has been told that he is playing for that slot next season (just as Walker, Townsend etc did before him) .
Here's an interview with Amos from QPR's site https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/luke-amos-signs-on-loan-for-qpr/
Obviously Spurs think Clarke is not ready for a Dele Alli type explosion. I assume that with Pochettino and Bielsa on good terms with each other, that decision was well-informed.
Unlike the Leeds fans slagging Clarke off for the last week or two, who are anything but well-informed...
Luke Amos already winning over the QPR fans in pre-season, good few comments stating that he looks too good for the Championship. Here’s hoping he proves them right.
Crap opposition, obviously, but that's such a casual, cool finish. Nice move too, to be fair to Leeds.
I've seen vague whispers that Brandon Austin and TJ Eyoma may be loaned this season I'm 50/50 on whether the source of the Austin rumour was me suggesting a few weeks ago that Austin might be loaned out given our glut of Academy keepers...
I really, really hope he does well there next season. Could be the reason we appear to be retaining Wanyama: no point signing a replacement at great expense if we already have one waiting in the wings.
