I went to the T/20 Middx V Essex last night that AB de Villiers is some batsman, almost won the game on his own
MCC asking to get the Lords Ashes Test shown on free to air TV. Some movement here. Be interesting to see if there is any bounce in participation in golf after the great Open in Northern Ireland. I’m guessing not, again because of restricted viewing access. Golf has really dropped off in popularity in recently. I haven’t played for years, but that was because I realised I hated it.
Test match v Ireland at Lord's starts today. We've got tickets for Saturday, hope they can make it last that long.
Members allowed to take their jackets off in a mild nod to the heat. Today will be very warm, tomorrow brutal.
Looking forward to seeing how Jason Roy goes in the longer format. They won't do it, but Shane Warne said that we should open with Roy and Bairstow in the Ashes, as we do in one-dayers.
I was surprised at no live Open golf on terrestrial - I thought it was on a protected list. I must say that Sky did well on the cricket (although I didn't realise it was on Sky One or C4 until after spending an hour searching for streams). They also put lesser matches on Sky Sports Mix which meant I saw some very good games.
Wow, England 42-4 after winning the toss. Doing a bit for the Irish, who would have had a bowl, I reckon.
