I agree but would be really nervous if this is the case. We haven't seen nearly enough from Foyth or KWP to suggest they'll be good enough. Conversely we have seen nearly enough from Aurier to suggest that he isn't.

Apparently Saliba is now 'very close' to moving to Arsenal as we haven't submitted a formal bid to match or beat their most recent one.

Whilst I'd like to put this whole episode down to Levy having a bit of fun, the more likely explanation is the abrupt end to the Athletic Cheapskate Roma move for Toby. With each passing day his release clause ticks towards expiry. I am honestly bewildered that no one has triggered it and the fact that Roma apparently offered less than half of £25m is astounding. Tyrone Mings went for the same amount and he is only 3 years younger than Toby and appx 5% as good.

I would prefer to lose Toby on a free next summer than for a penny less than £25m this. He is worth at least £10-15m to us per season as it is with the level he helps us reach.

It’s going to be one of those Dier moments like in the 15/16 season. When he got put into DM in the first game of the season everyone was like “what the ****?!” and he ended up playing a blinder despite losing 1-0 to Utd, he then cemented the role throughout the season with some great performances.

It’s now similar for Foyth I think. It’s just whether or not he can transition to RB as well as Dier did at DM. His appearances there at the end of last season plus the ones in the Copa America suggest he’s definitely becoming accustomed to the role, fingers crossed it all works out well (would still like Dani Alves though).

Could be, if he doesn’t sign a new contract, that clubs think they’ll get him cheaper in the January window,

Weird thinking from them if that's the case.
If we are in contention for a trophy or top 4 we are extremely unlikely to sell as it would make more sense to keep...unless he
    A) isn't playing
    B) they offer stupid money.

I wonder if he has a underlying injury issue...tis the only thing that mskes sense to me tbh.

It’s not ideal, but at the same time I believe that KWP deserves to play more frequently. At times last season many fans including myself were saying “what’s KWP got to do to get a game?!”. I’m a firm believer in giving him a chance.

I’ve said it before, but what worries me more is the sale of Rose, in addition to the scenario above.
Losing Trippier, potentially Toby, and Rose, is a lot of change in 1 window. If Sessegnon is the replacement for Rose, our potential options at both full back positions doesn’t seem strong enough IMO.

Davies, Dier and CCV continuing rehab and as Hudd just said; Rose, Janssen and Nkoudou left behind to explore prospective opportunities with other clubs.

And Dave, Vic and Aurier still not back from internationals. Odd that Foyth made it back but Dave didn’t but maybe we’ve given him more time off as he’s played more games and had the WC last summer as well.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's because both Poch and Foyth himself want him to get up to speed with his new positional role. Potentially a massive season for Foyth.

    Agreed.

Odd as well in a roundabout way that Toby and Eriksen are both on this tour when we would have expected them both to be gone by now, whereas others are being left behind to find new clubs!

I think the club really wants to keep Eriksen (as they should) and are hoping Madrid **** him off for Pogba which then might persuade him to ink a new deal. Toby is a little odd though as I get the feeling Poch isn't arsed if he stay or goes. In the season before last, Dave kept Toby out of the side for a long while and it's been well documented Poch really loves Dave so I think he's sort of "happy to keep, not arsed if you go" with regards to Toby. Personally I hope both stay but would be so much more gutted about losing Eriksen than I would Toby.

Does this one work for you?
    https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/july/asia-tour-squad-confirmed/

I mentioned a week or so ago that Jansen and GKN were conspicuous by their absence in training galleries, as have been Edwards and Onomah, but I never noticed the same could be said for Rose

Considering that Eriksen, Toby and Trippier have been seen, this says a lot

It may be the realisation that Real aren't exactly pulling out all the stops to get him so best to stay put.

True...yeah he’s looking happy but he did want to move after the final. Nothing against Eriksen but let’s not pretend he never wanted to go
