Nor mine, but I know a little and you definitely can’t meet your side of an employment contract from a prison cell (unless you’re a prison warden!)

But you could if you got a suspended sentence, community service or something? I would have thought a 'criminal conviction' clause would be a standard clause in any contract.

    Ah, apologies
I thought we were discussing getting sent to prison.
Criminal convictions don’t normally get mentioned in contracts but dismissal could happen through a standard disciplinary process if the conviction was for something serious enough (or even if you weren’t convicted, or even charged, but the works panel felt you’d done it on the ‘balance of probabilities’...rather than conviction which needs to be clear ‘beyond reasonable doubt’)

My head hurts now...I might need a drink!

Yes, I thought that too. However, I was told, if you enter into the contract knowing your man has already been charged, it makes it more difficult to "break" the contract.

Either way, Leeds wanted shot of him for non football reasons, and we and Barnsley have taken different views on the subject. Guess if I'd been Wilks I would have gone with Barnsley, if I'd been paying the £1.2 m and wages I'd have gone with City.

Certainly, if he does get sent down for say 3 years, you've not much of a chance of a residual value. So your £1.2 to TWS would be down the ****ter anyway.

And we have been burned before by a "naughty boy". What is Marlon up to these days anyway?

A lot of non-trustworthy sites (The72, TeamTalk et al) are saying Bowler is due at the KCOM for a medical today after a loan deal has been struck.

They seem to be regurgitating each other’s stories, but it’s probably likely as we need cover in the wide positions.

I’d prefer to see a CM come in though.

Can't see Ehab paying the medical team double time to work on a Sunday.

My hope too, just hope we have no one of outstanding talent coming through the ranks or we will never get rid,

Well, it might be tomorrow morning then, we usually announce stuff on a Monday and if Tafazolli is signing, it means he can have a medical and we can announce them together.

To be fair, Jacob Greaves looks quite sharp and has been tipped for a first team place by JB. And if KLP hits the ground running, well. It’ll be tempting for them.

Thinking about it, fair play to our academy. I know it’s more out of necessity than anything else, but I can’t remember a time when we’ve had so many academy graduates pushing for a first team place and deserving it. Sometimes clubs do it as a token gesture, but we seem to be turning out some genuinely decent youngsters.
