I'm not sure which tyres actually set fastest Q2 time on.He did go out on both soft and medium.

IMHO we are the best , because although we always want a " Home Win " I honestly think we also appreciate great Drivers / Teams no matter what .

We appreciate the sports them selves .

Same with Cricket , Tennis etc .

    Hope that makes sense .

I was very surprised to see Max within 2 tenths of pole today.

It might just be that Newey and Red Bull I’ve found the solution to their front end of the car after playing around with this years front wing. They looked awesome in Austria and whilst they clearly handled their tyres well and cooling well, they had one heck of a car there. To be within two tenths of Merc & LeClerc (see what I did there) usually puts RBR in the window to fight the front runners in the race. I hope so as we could do with a good battle.

Le Clerc will be very racy from 3rd on the grid on soft tyres. I think Ferrari might have got this strategy right- I think they know they would two stop anyway based on their Friday running and they know pace on mediums is still very strong after checking in quali today.

It would be nice to see the three teams in a tense and tight battle, but we know it so often fails to materialise.

I don't think this is a slam dunk. I voted for LeClerc, just because he deserves a win. There was a lot of sparking on the front of the RedBull, think it was Gasly's, suggests a lowered nose. Merc 1 2 is probably odds on but think there is scope for a surprise.

Might, just might get mixed strategies today. Hopefully the 1 stop just isn't doable.

Good point. The Ferrari was eating tyres on Friday, so definite two stop I imagine. They’ll do something stupid though, and randomly decide to put him on a bold ‘monsoon tyres’ strategy or something.

Just watching the Porsche supercup at Silverstone on the tv at the moment and they have been having a few spots of rain. Nothing major but could make things interesting if it’s still happening later.

Forecast has rain down as very minimal. Sunny spells separating a largely overcast day it seems.

I’d like a bit of rain though to spice it up!

Last time I was at Silverstone it rained on and off, maybe I should take one for the team and go and visit again.

Since I'm back in civilization with access to television, I'm sure this one will be a stinker!

    Come on Lando! :)

How did the Haas's get damaged? Yeah they had contact, but it looked almost perfect wheel to wheel contact.
