If Aribo had gone to an Inglish Club we would have got between £850,000 & £750,000 for him and I guess that Djiks would be worth the same next summer to an Inglish Club... We would be asking £1m + for Djiks this summer.
Just about had it up to here with my Brentford neighbour going on about how good Konsa is. Then he casually mentions that they've spent£15/18m, including Leeds captain. Cvnt.
The money would/will go into Dushitelet's pocket. Transfer fees mean nothing to the progress of the team.
i do agree but seems a little strange that such a prolific businessman doesn’t seem to cash in on these rising stars- not that he’d reinvest they money anyway???
Maybe somebody has had a word in his ear, he's offering new contracts to the better players who are entering the last year of their contracts.
he took the konsa money and asked for more up front as i dont think he expected to be around much longer. he must go mad seeing how much these players are really worth when they get sold on again... probably not knowing him as that would involve rational thinking.
No sell-on fee for Konsa according to Cawley. Not that any of it would be given to Bowyer anyway, just another sign of the Douchatelet's stupidity.
Profit on Konsa paying for Brentford's promotion push this year.... I am sure they will be sending a thank you letter to the yellow toothed Belgian
The only potential advantage to Charlton if its best players are sold for their true value and sell-on clauses are included, is that Roland would probably be generally in a better mood if his pockets were overflowing with millions like those he trousered for Lookman. We all know player sale money will never be given to Bowyer to spend, however much of it there might be. In theory Roland just might be more inclined to sell the Club if he was making all his lost money back selling our players. However, I think RD might actually be less inclined to sell if he knew he could bag millions every season from academy sales. Given the choice, I would rather the old Scrote has empty pockets and his usual sour disposition.
Bolton Wanderers' friendly against Chester is OFF. Players have refused to play, citing the ongoing pay problems and lack of communication at the club. Statement has just been made and will be up on the site asap. #bwfc
The EFL should be properly worried about Bolton Wanderers now. If they don't fulfill their first few league fixtures and have to be kicked out of L1 it will be an ongoing humiliation from now to May next year. At the very least the EFL fit and proper persons test needs a massive overhaul to ensure this never happens again.
Who will be next? There are several clubs in the Championship whose finances are unstable. One thing which gives Charlton some hope that we can stay up, I suppose.
