I'd be surprised at £30m considering he hasn't been amazing with us due to injuries. I was thinking more like £20m
Why?, we did ok in the second half of last season without him and Ralph appears to prefer his other options. I totally agree about a top CB though.
I don't think he would personally, we know his weakness and how he can panic a bit under pressure on the ball and make bad decisions in dangerous areas.
£25m and he’s yours. Good deal all round. If you get him playing, he’s worth at least double. We get a new CB.
I’d definitely prefer it if he went abroad. If we’re letting a good’un slip through our fingers, let’s not let him fall into the PL
I'm not sure I'm even comfortable with that. Just in the past week, Perez and Mings have been sold for more than that. And that's before considering the money that Utd could have burning in their pocket if they sell Pogba (or Leicester with Maguire). I'd be more wanting a fee of £30m to £35m (or £25m plus a player). As you say, they'd still be getting a player worth more than that if they can bring the best out of him. What is really concerning me though is the stories about us "looking to recoup what we paid for him". If that is all we're looking for, then we're crazy.
Sure, but those selling clubs didn’t want Mings or Perez to go. I get the feeling we’re happy to let him out the door.
It's a bit like selling a house...if you aren't in a hurry, you stick to your guns more than if you have another house lined up with a deadline. Saints will try for the best they can get for Lemina (insert other name as applicable), but not at the cost of missing out on someone they'd prefer.
Perez, sure. A big player for Newcastle. But Mings? I know he's had injuries, but he's been way down Bmouth's pecking order. Every Bmouth fan I know is laughing their heads off at getting that money for someone who was about their 5th choice CB. And besides, the fact that we're willing to let him go is why I'm not looking for us to seek out something around the £45m mark.
A wise man once said - `hard work beats talent, when talent doesn`t work hard`. When Lemina is on it he`s a really good player, but if Ralph can`t get his attitude right consistently (for Saints), then no one can. Am I being cynical when I suspect he wasn`t busting a gut (excuse the pun!) to get back from his somewhat mysterious injury last year ?
There is a Video of Hojbjerg saying Cedric is backed and he is fighting for it... may be we don't need a new RB now?...
