Disagree. If I was Freeman playing with a load of ****ing carthorses I’d have been reluctant to lay the ball off sometimes too.
Welcome back Angel! He was good for us going forward, loved his 2 goals in one game, and when he took the Swansea youngster who's gone to ManU out of the game. But he cost us with some of his weak defending of players coming in inside him. Guess he'll be a good back up, and good to have about a young group.
Beth, a good analysis and post. I personally am positively surprised by the speed of the signings/acquisitions. As you mention, it seems that we are fine at the back-end of the team with regard to Goalkeepers, Defense and the Defensive Midfield. Here there is a good mix of youth and experience, plus strength in depth which is great. Most importantly, they seem to be better “ball players” should be well suited for the “Warburton” style of play. I hope that we already have good youngsters for the Offensive Midfield position, even with positive competition for places, eg Eze-Chair for the No.10 shirt (position). We clearly are down on strikers and need reinforcement. I expect this to happen in the next week(s). I expect a couple of acquisitions, hopefully released young talent to be developed as well as more experienced players on loan. Overall I am not worried that we will not get these players, as the speed that we gone about our business is quite refreshing. But, as already articulated by Nines, this is a massive overhaul of our team and I hope that it will be start if if some sustained stability. I admit that I don’t yet know what is the MW preferred formation and need to read up on this. Any early guesses on our starting eleven in only 4 weeks?
Don't get too excited about signing any strikers. Our days of getting the likes of Rob Hulse and Shaun Wright~Phillips are over

Brilliant, he’s widely tipped to be the next Messi* * Trevor Messi, the fastest man on the canning line at Fish in a Tin Inc, Grimsby.
Leicester city just paid 40million for a player, a few years ago when we were both pushing for promotion, i used to think we were fairly equal as clubs, just shows how hard relegation out of the premier league hit us
SWP's only redeeming feature was scoring the winner at the Scum, other than that his wages were daylight robbery...
I remember he was so bad against Crystal Palace, he made a bad foul and our fans shouted “off, off, off”
He never was a striker was he? Thought he was a winger. He made a god start for us in that position, hit the woodwork s few times, and his confidence went.
I seem to remember couple of his early games he did well in (Newcastle, and WBA i think) I think he had a vollied or bicycle kick) goal disallowed incorrectly and that was it!! Two gd games, goal at the scum, not much of a return!!
Didn't Rob Hulse have a fairly decent record before signing for us? Long time ago now but I don't think many on here were that unhappy when we signed him.
