Right im off before Tees puts up any more depressing ****, as he has just spoilt my neet, the bugger.........
Yeah seems to be a bullshit account. Can’t see any hint of truth anywhere in it. Cant see any point fir us or him. 10th June apparently he was going on loan
He does seem incredibly desperate to be playing first team football. I think this is a bull **** rumour but hypothetically if Peterborough were offering him immediate first team football then I could imagine him leaving.
I agree but he’s only 17/18 now so to expect, even at our level, first team footy is unreasonable imo. Thing is, from reading stuff he says he does seem very grounded. He’d be part of the squad every week for me. He can pass, tackle and has a bit of needle about him as well. Looks like a player in the making but we need to not burn him out and, if he goes to another club, I’d hope they didn’t either. Hopefully Ross has assured him of his place in the squad
That’s a question. A year ago supposedly Spurs and United looking now he’s linked to Peterborough? Is he all that? I’m asking I don’t pretend to have seen owt of him.
I know different players and different positions but he's a year or 2 behind Embleton in his development imo. Embleton has come through the youth international teams and last season he was a big player in league 2 for Grimsby after a slow start while he got to grips with the pace and physicality. He's earned his position in the match day squad so if he doesn't get in that this season I'll understand his grievance. Mumba should be sent to Gateshead or Carlisle for a season to give him a full year to adjust to mens football before he steps up for us.
This is the right way to develop our academy players, but the club is in a difficult situation, with our dramatic loss of status the vultures will continue to circle. lets hope both Embleton and Robson are given ample opportunity this season to demonstrate the benefit of the system to those following, after all the same path was also trod by the two Jordans.
I agree with that. The thing is, the jump in player value and what price you can ask when in the Championship compared to league 1, is enormous. If we can hold onto some of these youngsters we could probably demand at least treble what we'd command in this division. We've done pretty ok for giving youth a chance in the lower leagues. That time Rowell and co come in seems to have worked well but that was just a few years before my time. Then we had Micky Gray, Micky Bridges, Craig Russell and Martin Smith. Now like you said we've had the Jordans come through and more seem to be on their way. Happy days.
