From learning and playing under a world class coach like Bielsa I don't think a novice coach like Gerrard would be much of a lure tbh

If Bielsa was world class he wouldn't be managing in the English Championship.

 

Your league is a pub league

 

Leeds had their chance last year, clearly this year will become a selling club and fill the team with loan players. Any smart player will be looking to leave.

Bielsa gone by Christmas I'd guess.

 

Cant be that bad, some of the best players currently playing in the premier league came from our pub league.

So why do so many English clubs come up to sign players?

I only came on to ask about Roofe and debate why he might be tempted to join Rangers. Get hit with the usual “pub league” patter.

 

I'm struggling to think of any of note tbh, must be only a handful surely

There’s a better chance of Roofe winning the Scottish pl by staying at Leeds than with rangers. Joke club

 

You only had to look at Roofe's face after the first play-off leg against Derby to see that he was well miffed. I thought it strange considering we won and he scored. Maybe that's when he felt mugged off because of what Bamford was getting compared to him and the fact that he always puts a shift in and Bamford sometimes looks like he doesn't.

Quite a few of them busted their balls last season under Bielsa and were probably banking on some bigger wages once in the PL. So it's not surprising that some are going to feel let down by some of the weak performances by a few towards the end of the season.

Maybe that's partly what Bielsa was getting at when he said we couldn't replicate last season this season because he isn't blind and will want to get rid of the bad apples and players who think they can do better and earn more elsewhere.

 

Van Dijk and Andy Robertson just won the Champions League and you cant think of them?

At the end of the day though a decent career-minded player like Roofe at his peak wouldn't countenance a move from Leeds to Glasgow Rangers, end of. Backwards step

 

And no, not a fan of overhyped Champions League ****e that's for sure.
