Glad if he leaves actually and stick by what I said about him in April! ''For me, he is too theatrical and goes down too easily. I pull my hair out when he does it with 10-20 minutes to go especially if we are behind because it just kills the time and breaks up any momentum that we are trying to create. When he is on, he is on and can inspire the rest but needs to cut the crap out of his game. Real hard defenders from the past didn't play his games.'' So it looks like others share the same viewpoint and see it as detrimental to the team. Personally speaking, I get angry when I see owners take the easy way out and sack the manager when the players throw their toys out the pram.
Martin O'Neil sacked at Forest because the players didnt like or respect him. Bielsa demands respect and if you go against him you leave.... Its the fee I cant get my head around though
I feared we would lose Pontus and Philips, yes we’re offering Phillips a new contract but with two years left the Pontus news means we must keep Philips now no matter what. I’m not impressed he is going but something went wrong towards the last third of the season, probably not one thing but a number of issues I guess but if Pontus was one of those and Bielsa wants him out you’ve got to respect that. Surely we need to be signing a new CB now?
The only(weakness) problem IMO with Bielsa is that he has morals. Something that the managers of a lot of our opponents don't have.
Would like to ask you where you heard the players resented him because of his popularity with the fans.
Pontus has been great for us but his big-girl injury theatricals did bug me, and I can't remember them being part of his game pre-Christmas - correct me if I'm wrong there. Like LOL I'll go along with Bielsa here but hope it doesn't bite him on the ass, and we need to get someone experienced and capable in to fill the gap now asap. Jansson has always been focused on ultimately playing in the Premier League. Selling him to Brentford would require his buy-in, and I just can't see it happening at any price. I think today is about alerting other teams that he is actually available, and then both he and the club sitting back and waiting to see what interest develops. Thing is, who will be willing to take a punt on a potential bad apple? What happens if he won't go to Brentford and no one else will risk signing him, another Saiz scenario? We also need to hold onto both Phillips and Roofe now. Going into the season without Phillips, Roofe and Jansson would feel to the fans like we're going backwards no matter who we draft in to replace them, and the rest of the team might sub-consciously feel less equipped to compete also. Few winners in this situation, and if we're getting 5.5m for a 15m player no winners at all.
What ever will be will be. At least if we play ****e early on all those supporters who came out of the woodwork in anticipation of a glorious return to the prem will feck off and leave us long termers more tickets...
They’ve always been in his locker.. remember him getting knocked out by a header a couple of years ago
