He didn't dishonour the dead though. He provided his own, whilst ill-informed opinion on how it happened and who did it. Personally, I think there is more to the 9/11 story than what the Media and the US government have told us. Some people believe in the illuminati, others don't - it's sort a part of popular culture now that there is a "secret society" behind everything. He said something on his personal twitter page that MAY have offended some weak minded individuals, but in no way would I want his career ruined over it. That's taking a life for an eye.
So what people are saying is, if one of your mates had told you that 9/11 was actually an inside job orchestrated by the Government or Illuminati aswell you'd be equally as angry? Or is this faux outrage simply because he's famous and earns a decent amount of money?
Freedom of speech and all that but stupid idea to put them comments on that day Yes indeed players should know by now that they can get in to trouble like Nathan and many others before him Stupid little boy
I mean to be honest, what he says isnt the worst thing in the world. It is just a conspiracy theory which a load of people also believe in. If he said Elvis still lives or JFK was killed by the government then it would kind of be okay, its just the day he did it. Immature to say the least but it is just a sign of his youth.
Just as usual in this PC world, the truth takes a back seat to political correctness. Fk everyone with a brain knows the buildings were demolitioned. Architects and Engineers fro 9\11 all very intelligent skilled professionals are adamant they demo'd the buildings, Mossad rigged up the buildings as no American would do so also, it is not the first time the Americans used the Israelis to start off a flase flag war. The American president ordered the Israeli airforce to attach an american warship, declassified dicument, anyone can read it, and thepilot was threatened with court marshal if he did not carry out his attack on an allied ship, just so America could ue it as an excuse to attack Korea. It is so obvious what happened on 9\11 but noone can cahllenge Bush Snr and his buddies, also the guy that had leased the WTC for like 20m.. well he had to rip out allth e asbestos that would have cost billions, but in his claim after the attack, he got something like 20 30 billion in claims or more plus he ddint have to refurb the buildings either. Just look at Geoge Bush's face when he is told at that school, he knew already. American are going to destroy the whole fkn world, they talk of Korea and nukes ect, WHO IS THE ONLY COUNTRY IN HISTORY TO USE NUKES AS A WEAPON? AMERICA!!!! It is not theory when there is proof and there is proof of demolition of thermite and witness accounts of explosions in the basements, accounts by firefighters! not lies and conspiracy theory They have killed upwards of 5 million civilians since the 40s Sure Mobutu the evil bastard was a friend of Bush Snr
It's twitter for ****'s sake. He posted what he thinks on the matter, and it is appropriate to say what you think of 11/9 on the 11th of September. To be honest, when I think about it, the only people that should be mad at this comment is the people who actually did it.
Mate, watch the video I posted earlier today or look the debates up on YouTube. The conspiracy theories have more holes than the buildings did. America is unpopular because they flex their muscles. Where did they learn that? Oh yes! Britain! We were far worse, but we'll just forget about that won't we! If you think the conspiracy theories are true you might want to wear a tinfoil hat to stop 'the man' from stealing your thoughts. We might not have all the information, but there's always a reason. Time will tell.
^^ It's easy to say that when you're not American and not affiliated with 9/11 deaths. Imagine if the 'tard had said on the Hillsborough anniversary that he didn't think it was the police's fault or that it was the iluminati with some agenda against football. I'm sure people would still be pushing the whole "free speach" line then wouldn't they. Everyone's entitled to their opinion but blurting out your opinion has consequences when it offends your employers and reflects badly on them.
And another thing, when Bush was told at that school visit he actually did something unexpectedly great. He didn't go crazy and scare the **** out of children. He's also the president - he would probably have known about all the air alerts beforehand. He does have a team of aides to tell him things.
They shouldn't be reading twitter if they are mourning. Honestly, this is the internet. Things like KPR are on the internet.
He knew the risks of saying what he did and now he'll have to take his public arsekicking and keep his hed down for a while.
Agreed. Every footballer in every club in the land will have ben warned about the use of Twitter by their clubs. If he hasn't got the nouse to know what is and is not appropriate then he will have to accept the consequences.
I reckon he'll get a fine and that will be the end of it. Nothing really happened to Mark Bosnich after he pulled a Hitler salute at Spurs fans or Gazza when he pretended to play a flute at Celtic fans. However Celtic fans threatened to slit his throat if he ever did it again. However Gazza is as welcome in the east end of Glasgow as a fart in a phone-box.
Oh! and all the Celtic players have been little angels in all of their actions towrds Rangers fans have they?
I'm not saying that either, both are as bad as each other. But no Celtic player has ever done anything that is considered sectarian. Blessing yourself which Tommy Burns and Artur Boruc have done is not sectarian, but what Gazza did was sectarian, as it was mimicking the Orange Order.
all i'm saying is if you put your self in the americans shoes then they could well feel as angry as i would had a player said the "rag" was right about our fans. Imagine how angry you'd be if someone twittered that. put yourself in the american's shoes. over 3000 people dead. sorry but the guy is a fool. people can go beleive what trash they want without looking at the real evidence... same as thicks that beleive moon landings were faked etc etc.... if you go twitter something like that ion the 10th anniversary it shows you are a total fruitloop. for me he'll just keep doing it....
Page and I come from different traditions within Liverpool but we are both united in our opposition to any form of sectarianism in football in general and at Liverpool in particular. We should all be vigilant in respecting other traditions. Hence a plague on both the houses of Rangers and Celtic who's very existance continues sectarianism.
Cardiff fan's view here... There should be absolutely no controversy here and the player, in this country, should be free to say whatever he pleases. He is not representing Liverpool FC, he is his own man. Some may say his timing is foolish, but if this is something he passionately believes in (his statement), then his timing is entirely appropriate. The US media (Fox news in particular) have it that no questions can ever be asked on the subject without severe character assassinations. This has been the case since 48 hours after the event. This goes to show that there is no such thing as freedom of speech in the US or over here...
