I think it's more likely Eriksen leaving will be the floodgate opening for others to leave.

How long will Kane and Ali stick around on average wages and no success to speak of.

Not wumming, just genuinely curious.... (easy this lark isn;t it <whistle> )

You can tell Deli doesn't want to be there by his attitude and his body language.

  4. With the bonuses those lads have been earning, they won’t be a million miles off what they’d get elsewhere.

So what sort of bonus do you get for finishing 4th in a 3 horse race?

    Not wumming of course, just.....genuinely....curious......

When do you expect that to happen?
Poch has already stated in the press that domestic cups are beneath you so no chance of even trying there, you are miles off the PL (finished 4th in a 3 team race) and you will never get another opportunity in Europe like you had this season (the big teams are re-building).
What will be your first trophy/title?

  8. Yeah, I agree.

Merely winning the League and FA Cups - when it eventually happens - will be disappointing, unless it's part of a domestic double or treble.

The league and the CL titles are what Poch really wants.

So you agree you are unlikely to win anything with Poch then?
Throws the domestic cups, miles off the PL and will never get as far in Europe again.

Who do you think will be the best guy to win you a trophy?

  10. It will happen with Poch.

Us Yids and every neutral is simply waiting for the floodgates to open.

Are these the same neutrals that wanted the scousers to win ? Because I never met one of them . Only shirts in the pub who had never been to a game in their lives.

Can we get back on topic here, forgive me but I think Mr Lampard, as he now deserves to be called or "The New Gaffa" if you will, is in a win win situation here. if he can't sign anyone and has to use available resources, and fails, (Like finishes 4th). It's still a good return considering it's his first year. Should the impossible happen, and the available resources become what we are all dreaming of transpires. happy daze. RLC signed a new deal today. Some of our youth are coming home they're coming home etc. Carefree Chelsea whist I live.

That's why I'm really looking forward to this season . Have watched the youth for years in cup games and I know the pass rate is small , but will be nice to see some given a chance. and we still have a decent first team

  14. What if he finishes outside the top 6?

    It could happen.

Before Lamps, which Chelsea manager finished the lowest in the league?

Jose lost the dressing room and finished 10th but won the Europa league. See Tubby, we are winners despite having a bad year.

Wouldn’t expect to win anything 1st season, only to sort out the future from the past. Sure he will need experienced players, but I hope to see an underperformer or 2 under Sarri, return to better form under Frank. If he can get people in positions that suit them (Kante) get the team spirit wound up to full, and some smiles back on faces, it will be a good season. If he brings a couple of kids to PL standard as well, it will be a great season.

  17. This was being discussed on TalkSport, last night.

The general consensus was that it doesn't work like that. The kids learn by making mistakes, but those mistakes could throw Lamps into a losing-streak. Whilst "club legend" status will take him so far, a losing streak is something that Abramovic will address with dispassion and financial brutality.

The general consensus was that Lamps won't want to gamble with the kids.

I disagree. He hasn’t got any option but to play youngsters. Our squad is quite small and more have gone out than in so far. We either pull in loanees or promote from the ranks. If you think things will go south if he doesn’t play youth, think how quickly things will go wrong if he uses the same team and tactics every week. How did that pan out for the last manager?

  20. I have it on good authority that both he and Alderwiereld are likely to sign new contracts.
