there are some real optimists in this world. and there are some who don't have reality specs. https://www.burnleyexpress.net/spor...fit-for-hull-city-star-jarrod-bowen-1-9858842
If they saw Brentford beat us at Dean Court methinks they're very much mistaken. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine
Bloody Hell's an inverted winger? Does he play stood on his head or summut? Likewise a ****ing false Number 10. Linear fullbacks? Crenulated centre half? Pan dimensional goalkeeper? Game's gone mad, I tells ya.
A bit like Stuart Elliot, without the go go gadget legs to rise four ft higher than anyone else and head the ball int net. Oh and God.
I ****ing loved Stuart Elliot. I was once introduced to Dean Windass's lad* when he wanted to borrow my amp with the line "Hey Ad, who's your favourite Hull City player?", to which I replied "Stuart Elliot, and no, you can't borrow my amp". I'm also the guy who bought a signed photo of Willie Thorne from Steve Davis and informed Brian Molko from Placebo that although he'd played a decent show, we have a stag do to get on with. I'm an awkward **** who can't stand sycophants. *The wife says it was his youngest brother and although I won't tell her, there's a good chance she's right.
Stuart Elliott was absolutely brilliant - nice bloke too and whilst a giant on the pitch he was surprisingly small off it. I met him in the POD on St Andrew’s Quay and was surprised at his lack of height given his prowess in the air.
I'm not sure I would like to meet him, we would fundamentally disagree on things we can't discuss on here. But ****ing hell, if divine intervention was a thing, the way he played could make me believe. Although, if divine intervention was a thing, he'd still be playing for us, soaring through the air and banging in 20+ a season. Also, what's POD?
It’s that weird shaped building in front of Halfords that used to have a Starbucks. He did mention religion a few times - a bit overbearing in that respect. But a decent bloke nevertheless.
Makes more sense than the 'Player on Demand' theory that I'd cooked up. I reckon Stu and I would share a lot of our morals, only I don't need the magic. Regardless, legend.
In theory, one of these would be ****ing unstoppable. He could manipulate time and space to block every shot. All of his goal kicks would result in goals. He could cover every area of his net and host visiting sponsors in the posh boxes during the match. Why such a being would choose to play football, let alone play for us however would be a different question altogether
sounding more and more like £15m is the magic number here, few reports coming out around that valuation, cheap for a player like Bowen who has indeed done it successfully over the past two seasons, but since when have the Allams held out for proper money.
